I recently purchased a used 2014 Mazda 5 from Maria.
I’m writing this review to single out Mike, the used car sales manager, and Maria for praise. Purchasing the vehicle was a great experience. Then Mike and Maria’s went above and beyond in their customer service after I bought the car. I had some issues with the car, and I did not have warranty. Nevertheless, Mike and Maria took a lot of time out of their busy schedules to ensure the problems with my car were resolved, partly on the dealership’s dime during challenging economic times.

We started at another dealership. We knew what we wanted and had a budget, with some flexibility, that we wanted to stay within. The salesman at the first dealership didn't listen to us and continously showed us cars beyond our budget and with options we didn't ask for. We left very frustrated.
We then decided to give South Trail Hyundai a try and met with Kylian Pomares - what a refreshing change! He listened to us and asked good questions to understand and narrow down our choices. We never felt as if he was trying to upsell us. We ended up purchasing a car that was perfect for our needs! We really sensed that Kylian, and the rest of the South Trail Hyundai team, were working with and for us. Kylian called us after a week of owning our car to check if we were happy and if we had any questions about how to work any of the car options. We just had an all round great experience at this dealership. We look forward to continuing to visit South Trail for future servicing of our car.
Ok so back in April I got into an accident. I needed a new car. I did a bunch of research but got to the point where I needed to talk to someone. So I decided to come in here because of the high rating. Well that high rating is very well deserved. Then salesman worked with me to answer all my questions and give me the best options. Not pushy in anyway but let me decide by showing me the options that worked best in my situation. This is what led me to lease a car from them. It is Sept now and in for first oil change service here is just amazing and with Covid 19 that is saying something. Glad I came here super happy with my Kona. Only regret is I should have got the 1.6L turbo version. 😆

One of the best experience we had in a dealership. Our sales person Daniel showed us the models we were interested in test drove it and asked for a few days to decide. We came back and saw another model and Daniel gave us the rundown of the vehicle, we test drove it. They worked with our budget and even gave us the two things we wanted included in the deal.
When the deal was finalized he gave us a delivery date but called us back to move it since they did find some little hail dents and will get it fixed first. Definitely was looking out for us, they fixed it the vehicle and was spot less when we got it. He took time to guide us through the controls and paired our phone to the vehicle.
The finance manager Kaavy was great as well. We understand he does have to offer the other protection plans but was never a push over when we declined to some of the offers.
Even their manager Vinh was delightful to talk to.
Overall best experience we had with a dealership and for the value and options that the vehicle came with we are so happy with the purchase.
Quite possibly worst car dealership in Calgary.
Their "finance professional" complained about how he was forced to work for Hyundai after losing his job working for sub-prime car lenders.
He did not listen to anything we said at all. We told him we needed a vehicle within 2 days.
He blatantly lied to us stating it was all Approved only to be told 4 minutes prior to closing that it was in fact declined.
It was declined as our income could not be verified even though our bank statements clearly showed numerous deposits.
They gave up even trying to secure financing for us and literally lied and wasted our time.
Fact is they won't tell you the truth as they don't want to risk losing a commission.
Apparently they don't understand that honesty in the automotive industry is the most important thing customers ask for.
They also attempted to authorize our credit card twice and were not even able to properly process a refund.
We are now left stranded without a vehicle for the foreseeable future.
CC: Circumstances were not beyond your control. The financial representative had he listened to anything we had said would have corrected the application.
If you check their finance information they advertise that everyone is approved apparently we are that exception. If they had submitted the application properly and explained our situation we would have had our vehicle.
The financial representative screwd up as did the general manager.
Excellent service ALWAYS! I purchased my used car here nearly 3 years ago. I've since been going to South Trail Hyundai for all my service needs. Super friendly staff, they let me know if there is anything on my vehicle needing attention and if I turn it down, there is absolutely no pressure to get the work done. Which is a breath of fresh air compared to my experiences anywhere else! Just recently had my brakes done and new tires put on. Monique was very helpful with any questions I had. I highly recommend South Trail Hyundai - fantastic service every time!
Took my car for a oil change, and the service was great. They also let me know about other parts that needed to be serviced, but they did not push me to have the extra service done, and that is great. I also got a car wash for free. I spent around 100 bucks which is pretty good!!!

First time at the dealership today and extremely impressed as we had made a mistake of going to Precision Hyundai first where we were not even acknowledged by anyone after spending 20 minutes in the showroom. We were greeted and offered beverages and seating by a helpful salesman by the name of Tim. He was very knowledgeable on the vehicles and took the time to explain all the details as well as a test drive. Even though we were only looking I would put them on the top of my list if we were to purchase a Hyundai. All the staff had smiles and were friendly but I guess that's to be expected by the McManes group of companies as we have had the same experience more than once at their other dealerships.
I just bought my new car from South Trail Hyundai, and had the pleasure of working with Lexi. It took me several months and test driving many cars before making my decision. If I could give 10 stars I would. The whole buying experience was absolutely amazing. I made the mistake of going to the Chrysler dealership down the road from them and had the absolute worst service EVER. I decided to go visit the team at Hyundai having previously owned the product and loving it. Even from the initial text message I could see the difference in their approach. The dealerships may all be owned by one group but they are NOT run the same. Lexi was simply AMAZING TO WORK WITH, I honestly could write a whole post about how amazing she is. Kavvy in finance is also amazing and a dream to work with. Also by the end of my first appointment I had met the GM and the sales manager. They really take pride in their work. I will be a repeat customer for years to come. I should also mention that my husband had previously bought a dodge truck from the dealership down the road but will be taking all his business to the Hyundai dealership now as they can pull cars from other lots!!! So if your looking at something other then a Hyundai still give these Guys a call!!

We almost made the mistake of going to another dealership! My daughter was shopping for her first car, we had taken a 2020 Elantra for a test drive with another dealership, however when we discussed the pricing it was very different than we had expected. I asked for a breakdown and there were some fees that were in my option dishonest, for example a $600 fee for a $3000 insurance policy only valid for a total loss of the vehicle! We have our own insurance we don't need another over priced dealership policy!! Anyway I made one call to South Trail and talked to Lexi, She gave me a great price that was very transparent and better than the other dealerships "best Price". Working with Lexi and the team at South Trail was a real pleasure and fun for my daughter. She was made to feel very important and appreciated as a new client. I have purchased many vehicles over the years and Lexi is one of the most attentive and honest sales professionals I have had the pleasure to deal with. I highly recommend this dealership and make sure you ask for Lexi!
Took my 2016 Hyundai Elantra GT in for a service as it was not running well at all. While the service was not warrantied, Rachel in the service department was absolutely FANTASTIC to deal with and totally kept me in the loop as to what needed to be done. My car is back on the road and in EXCELLENT running condition! I will NOT hesitate to return to this location for all of my vehicle services going forward and will keep these folks in mind for my next vehicle purchase!

Not only are they 5 minutes from my home, they are usually able to get me in on very short notice. I have been dealing with Rachel in the service department and I appreciate her detailed explanation of needed repairs. I have not had any problems so far with this dealership and will continue to visit when needed.

I cannot recommend this dealership more. They have amazing customer service and really are dedicated to making you feel the best you can out of any and all interactions. I was sold a used car by Alvin in July of 2019, and to this day (Jan 2020) he still sends me texts asking me how the ownership and vehicle are going. I had requested quotes before setting foot in a dealership as I knew exactly which vehicle I wanted (2019 Tucson 2.0L AWD, Preferred Edition). Where South Trail excelled was in their transparent pricing and no high-pressure sales tactics. I was connected with Tim Page, one of their sales executives, who was very easy to deal with. Tim was very fast to respond to my many questions, very friendly, and didn’t try to upsell things that I indicated I didn’t want. This hassle-free process is what I appreciated the most and which made me decide to take my business to South Trail Hyundai.
I also asked if it’s possible to go on a test drive on a big hill because I go to the mountains every weekend and wanted to be sure that the Tucson with the 2.0L engine (vs. the 2.4L that I had in my previous car) would work for me. We went all the way to Heritage Pointe, so appreciated being able to take a test drive that far (probably about 20km round-trip).
I had also dealt with Vinh Tram, the New Vehicle Sales Manager. Vinh was easy to get ahold of, responded to my questions, and got me the vehicle I wanted. I had received a slightly lower quote from another local dealership, but Vinh was happy to match that. I drove out with my shiny new 2019 Tucson on New Year’s Eve and already enjoyed a grand day out in the mountains.
