I was scheduled for a diagnostic assessment of my brakes and air conditioner (which was recalled by honda). The email I received two weeks ago indicated that the time of the assessment appointment was 9am-3pm, so I showed up at 9am. By 3:45pm my car had not even been moved from the lot! I wasted a whole day, I left without having my car diagnosed and now I am stuck with no air conditioning in 30 degree weather and brakes that are still making noise. Never have I had such an unprofessional experience with a dealership!

Another Norm Durocher complaint. I can see from the reviews a lot of people have been having issues with this one employee.

I first went to Civic Motors about 1.5 months ago to get my AC fixed. I booked an appointment to get a diagnosis for what it could be. On the day of the booking I dealt with Norm Durocher.

He was incredibly rude and told me they wouldn't take my car in for a diagnosis because they ran out of condensers. It would have been nice to know they didn't have any before going into my appointment. He blamed me and told me I should have called in to confirm they had the part before coming in (I didn't even know what was wrong with my AC, how should I know what part it needs to be fixed?).

I get on the phone with someone else who tells me they didn't know the part was on back order until the day before my appointment and they tried to call everyone affected. I guess they missed me, it's fine. The issue with that is that Norm BLAMED me for not calling in to confirm when I booked the appointment TWO WEEKS before my appointment (they wouldn't have known the part would be on back order if I had called them, according to them).

So, they tell me they can book me in for another appointment when the part comes in mid July (my appointment was yesterday). I called in one week before this mid July appointment to confirm they have the part for me this time since I'd like to avoid the same issue, they tell me they're not sure if they'll have it and I should call a day or two before the appointment. I called the day before the appointment and I'm assured that the part is in, for me, and the service will get done.

On the day of the appointment, low and behold, I'm dealing with the infamous Norm Durocher again. I tell him I'm there to get my condenser replaced and he tells me that I definitely wouldn't be getting the part because I haven't even gotten a diagnosis yet (HE'S THE ONE THAT TURNED ME AWAY FROM EVEN GETTING A DIAGNOSIS THE FIRST TIME I WENT IN). I tell him no, I called in and confirmed already, I want the fix done. 8 hours later (my appointment was at 8AM, I didn't get my car back until around 4PM), my AC is finally fixed.

The other staff members I talked to at this establishment seemed very nice (I even purchased my Honda Civic at this location a few months ago in March of 2020) and I hate to give a 1 star review based on the actions of 1 employee but this process has been so incredibly difficult because of Norm that I have to give it a 1 star. To the management - read the reviews from the customers, it is clear where the issues are.

This service centre used to have good employees in the front line few years ago . They are not there anymore. Some of the new guys at the counter are not friendly, rude. I have been going to this service center since the past few years but not any more. 2 years ago another crook told me to immediately change my battery and gave me a qoute, but I didn’t do. My battery is still running and in good condition.

I'll never go back. I had issues with my A/C. I booked an appointment for 9am. I dropped the car off at 8:50 and he told me that it would have to stay all day but should be ready around 4. So at 4:02 service calls me and tells me that they don't have enough technicians to get to every car, so they won't be able to help me. He called me at 4:02, considering he had it at 9am, you'd think he would have known earlier about how many people were working that day. He books me for 9am 4 days later....8:25am I get a call saying the machine is busted so they can't see my car. He didn't seem to care(how much should he care really?) I told him to forget it. They should put a big top at that place and call it a circus. Will never go back to that place

My Honda civic 2016 was originally bought from this location, and I always do my car services here. I booked an online appointment for a regular oil change and transmission oil service as it's due now. My appointment was scheduled for 8 am and I showed up around 7:30 am where I met the service advisor Normand Durocher. Dealing with him wasn't pleasant experience at all. He told me that I have scheduled my appointment for a drop off and it won't be ready before noon at least (5 hours for oil change!), I honestly didn't check my email for the confirmation and I thought it was my mistake (which didn't turn out to be true). Tried to explain to Normand that I have work and I already booked an appointment, he still argued that even if you showed up half an hour earlier than your appointment and you want to wait, that doesn't mean your car will be finished faster, it will still need 5 hours at least. I had no choice but reschedule with him another appointment.

Out of curiosity I called Ottawa Honda at Richmond road, the customer care lady was very friendly and helpful. I asked her for the same oil changing services and she offered to book me an appointment the next day, and confirmed that it won't take more than 2 hours. I was really surprised! I will change the dealership at which I do my car service at, not impressed with Civic Honda Ottawa customer service and won't be back.

The people at the service department are very nice. I'm not sure why the dealership insists on people making appointments when it doesn't seem to matter. I scheduled my appointment at 1:30pm, went for a walk and came back at 3:15pm. My car was still parked in the parking lot. It didn't go into the garage until close to 3:30pm and then wasn't ready until 5:00pm. I know that they're understaffed and things are difficult because of covid, but then change the appointment bookings so the staff can service the cars in the timely fashion.

This is the third week I'm waiting to be contacted by the Service Department. I've left a phone message once and chatted with someone using that feature twice, leaving contact info. Only received two acknowledgment emails from Service Department. I initially wanted a service appointment to put on summer tires because this dealership has them in storage. NOW I just want to get my summer tires back so I can have them installed at a local garage. Look up acknowledgement email sent last Wednesday to James MacDonald; tires in storage for Honda CRV 2009. Call me so I can get my summer tires back from you!!

I had a fairly pleasant experience here in regards to the service, I came in with a issue with my TPMS. Initially I was told it would require reprogramming however a sensor was bad they quoted a much more compelling price than my home dealership Hunt Club. The service was done in fairly quickly manner & I was rest assured If the light issue came on I can come back and they'll fix it right up. I'm holding them onto this so hoping it doesn't but will update accordingly on here.

Just walked in (and out) of here to buy a pair of windshield wipers for my Odyssey. Seems simple enough. However, despite all the staff on duty - including 2 service consultants - nobody was able to sell me my wipers because the parts department was closed for lunch. How nice for them. It so happens that's when the rest of us do our shopping.

In my experience small things like this are a reflection of a business and its management. Not impressed and won't be back.

I went to lot fo places before coming to this place and they gave me best price of them all.
I wanted to thank Pranav kumar and Zarjan Hafizi to make it very easy for me. This is my first new car but everything was made clear to me in depth. I had amazing experience with them. Everything was clear about cost, service, warranty and nothing was hidden.

Quick service, got what I ordered for my rims / tires.

I ran into an issue when I went to pay. I was quoted and given a reference number they could pull up to see my quote. I was given one price, and asked to pay another price. I asked the associate I was working with to please look up my reference number and she told me she couldn't do it. I said my appointment has the quote total written down as the promised price, and she told me without looking at it I have to pay the total she gives me.

Upset - I paid the amount. I then went on their website on my laptop and ordered exactly what I had on my invoice, and sure enough after taxes, parts, installations, and labor the price was exactly what was on my appointment as the expected price. I returned to the front desk and showed them the different, and at first they refused to return the difference. After escalating to the management, he instructed them to make it right, and return the difference, and thanked me.

The front desk lady then had a very annoyed attitude as we went to the desk to do the return, being very aggressive and combative to me due to her lack of help and my persistence to pay my promised price. She took out her anger directly on the cashier being extremely rude to her right in front of myself and other customers (felt really bad, the cashier did nothing wrong).

In the end they made it right but only due to my persistence and ability to show them where and why they were wrong. The 3 star rating is more related to the Customer Service of the associate helping me and the price differences between their website and in store.

Dropped off my vehicle on Saturday morning for an interior cleaning. I have not had the inside of my car cleaned since I first purchased it in 2014. As many would say, the salt stains were there for ages!

Erik L. did such an amazing job on the interior of my car it truly looked like a completely different/ new car! All the items in my car were neatly removed and organized in plastic bags. My summer carpets were removed and cleaned. My winter mats were also washed and put into my car. The exterior of my car was also cleaned ... IT LOOKS SO SHINY! :)

Very happy with the service I received. Very quick, clean and professional! I would highly recommend Civic Motors to all my family and friends.

Spoke to a dealer on Tuesday after seeing a CR-V available online. The next day we called him back and said we'd like to see the vehicle. The dealer confirmed that it was available and that we could see it at 11am. We drove in from 45 kilometres away and viewed it and test drove it, then sat down to get the Carfax and make a deal on the car only to be told that the vehicle had sold two days previously. Very disappointed and upset in our experience at Civic Motors. The dealer himself was very pleasant and personable, but that doesn't change our wasted time researching and driving a car that was already sold.

I went to Civic Motors Honda to browse around. I was on the lookout for my very first car. I did not have high hopes or had any intentions on purchasing the same day. I have had not so pleasant experience at other dealerships pressuring me to buy a car.

Let me tell you that the service at Civic Motors Honda was beyond amazing. It was very welcoming and the salesman that had helped me throughout my visit took me under his wing. Thankfully, I was not pressured. They made me feel important and not just a young adult that was wasting there time at the dealership. They took there time to discuss, and finally I’ve had made the decision to purchase 2019 Honda Civic Ex.

Went to buy a Honda Civic 2014 Ex, they had 2 cars of the specified year. After seeing the cars on the website went to see them and they couldn't show any of them as they didn't know where the cars were. The salesmen said he'll get back to me for a newer car with a better deal and let me know. Later on the salesmen let me know one morning that a car was there and I ensured him I was going to come after work. After the agreement went there to civic motors and when reached there they mentioned the car was sold by another salesmen. I understand you'll sell it to the first customer you get but a courtesy call to let me know would have been nice and saved me a lot of time. They weren't even sorry for what happened. Didn't like the selfish act at all. You guys have some nice people there and are better than a lot of the other honda dealers in Ottawa. Just cause Honda has high demand don't look down upon your customer. Treat them with respect. After that went to Bank Street Hyundai and had an amazing experience from them, the best I could have hoped for and they earned my money and respect.

I’ve recently just purchased a Type R but had an SI a year ago. Both brand new. I’ve always had a pleasant experience with Civic Motors. They helped me with the cheapest option possible of getting into the Type R. Especially Michael, I’ve dealt with him for both of my cars and needless to say, I will be going back for my girlfriend’s or my next car. He goes out of his way to make the purchase as easy and smooth as possible! I know every review states the same thing about their sales person, but he will skip lunch, stay late, go in early, go in on his days off.

Amazing experience! We are traveling and are in the middle of a road trip, we experienced some issues with our breaks and had to make an unplanned detour and stopover. We walked in in the morning, explained the issue, Norm, our service agent, helped us fast and even promised to get our car checked as fast as possible as we tried to get back on the road as soon as possible.
They fixed the car way faster than we expected and it took them less then 4h to get it done, we’re impressed!

Usually you'd want to be left alone and do your stuff, but when you have 30K cash in your pockets and ready to spend it, you'd wish you didn't have to wait in line to request service from a salesman.

He was nice and still answered our questions, but never offered us a test drive, and did leave us hanging "between customers" more often that I'd like.

Maybe they were just short staffed tonight, but we ended up going to Performance Mazda and had stellar service, and a pretty good deal too.

Very dry service especially on used cars. Not courteous, and make the client feel like they are doing you a favour. Quite condescending towards my parents when trying to establish what repairs would be done to the used car they we were trying to purchase. Did not feel comfortable parting with money at this dealership as it it is this difficult to buy a car, imagine how difficult it would be if it had issues.

Civic Motors Ottawa does not honor their warranty!! We purchased an auto appearance protection for an additional 700$ and paint is actually wearing off (with no rust underneath) from my 2014 Odyssey and its not because of an accident. Unfortunately, Civic Motors refused to honor their warranty by not returning my call, my e-mails and even my visits to the dealership. This place is not what is used to be. Stay away from it.

Do you want quality, professional, friendly service? Go see Zarjan at civic motors. Regardless of how picky and difficult you are, he is willing to take extra steps to ensure you are satisfied and happy customer. I bought a 2019 Civic, i sure did test his patience and pushed his buttons when it came to negotiation, but he still worked hard to make ends meet. Working with the people at Civic Motors is always an absolute pleasure! Len Schmidt is a wonderful, knowledgeable salesman, and made my car leasing process very easy, yet again. Michel Ratte, one of the business managers, was so helpful and friendly, and made an otherwise intimidating process pleasant and quick. They never pushed anything or took a hard sell approach, which is very important to me.

This is my second experience with Civic Motors and with Len, and our family's 4th car leasing experience there over the years. My fiancée and I were looking to get a new car. We had gone to a few other dealers (different brands) and were slightly annoyed by the fact that it took so long to get to a test drive and with the added sales pressure. On top of that, the previous night, we had been at a dealership for over two hours (it took about 40 minutes before we got to test drive the car). Therefore, we were expecting a similar experience.

We arrived at the Civic Motors, entered the showroom, had a quick look around and Fred Hemer greeted us. With him, we didn't feel the same type of sales pressure. I had already looked into the car we were looking to get: 2014 Civic Touring, the lady wants leather. We mentioned this to him and he pointed it out to us. We sat in it, saw how it was, compared it with what we had already seen. Within 10 minutes of arriving, Fred asks if we want to go for a test drive. We graciously accepted, naturally.

We then went on the test drive: I drove first and my fiancée drove back. Fred was a passive passenger and pointed out some features of the car along the way but not imposing in any way. It was a good drive of about 15-20 minutes. After it was over, there was no sales pressure. We just casually talked prices. Being a member of the Automobile Protection Association (APA), I mentioned that I could get a specific price (a little above the invoice price). Fred checked it out and told us that he could match it and, in the end, he managed to beat it. So, we were convinced then and there.

We were done after filling out the paperwork which Maurice Bégin finished with us.

Picking up the car was quick and easy. We couldn't be any more satisfied with our choice and are very pleased with the result. If you are looking for a good experience, I highly recommend speaking with Fred.

I dealt with Peter Kelly via the web and a couple of face-to-face meetings to finalize the paperwork. Very straight forward way to deal. I highly recommend this individual if you're shopping for a Honda. I also interacted with a half dozen other dealers; one other was decent but didn't have the same influence over price to get the deal done... all of the other dealers weren't worth my time.

This was my second lease from Civic Motors. I had great service and enjoy all the staff. My Honda guy is Peter Kelly. This is the second car I have leased from him. I had such a great experience the first time that I had to come back. I must have asked him 1 million questions and he answered all of them with a smile. Peter is an amazing sales person; I never felt pressure and I like that. It definitely made the car buying experience better for me and for that reason I would definitely purchase from him again and refer my friends and family. As a matter of fact I referred my brother and his friend to Peter and they are both Happy Honda owners today.
