Had terrible service. Had to wait over an hour to meet with someone, even though we made an appointment. The car was not ready the day we were told it would be and we had to come back a second time. Also there was a condition of sale that a side door be fixed and they did not fix it. When we came to pick it up and the problem was still there they said it was fine and we couldn't do anything about it now because we had already signed the paperwork. I contacted the manager, Peter Fu, twice and he has never replied to my concerns. I would never return to Kanata Honda or I would never recommend anyone shop there. We had much more pleasant experiences with other dealerships while looking for a van.

She made sure my bike was ready to go for the weekend despite a snowstorm throwing deliveries off track. Recently bought new car from these guys had mixed experience as the sales guy was good got us the good deal but they goofed up with number plate on delivery date should say delayed delivery date as they promised for Wednesday or Thursday but delivered on Saturday. Finance manager was kind of rude not accepting their fault and made me pay for new plates which I asked a week before that I want to transfer my existing plates from my old car.

After making a decision to buy a new second smaller car, we set aside a day to visit various dealers, one of which was Kanata Honda. Colin Harding greeted us and arranged to take us for a couple of test drives in different Honda models. He was very knowledgeable yet if we asked him a question he couldn’t answer, he didn’t volunteer a guess, he sought the assistance of another employee. Though extremely personable, he was very professional. At the outset, we volunteered that our intention was not to buy that particular day but, rather, to gain information to take away and make an informed decision. At the end of our time with him, he didn’t push us, as some other dealers had, to make a sale before we left. That in itself was a HUGE contributing factor, along with the fact that we liked the Honda Civic Hatchback, in us returning to buy a car from Kanata Honda. Even though there was another Honda dealer in closer proximity to where we lived, and who had the colour we actually preferred, we chose to give our business to Kanata Honda because of Colin. A few days later, after closing our deal with Colin, we were turned over to Terry Hum, the New Car Sales Manager. He was equally professional in making certain we understood all options available to us yet was very respectful of our decisions and choices without trying to push more at us than we wanted. Today we picked up our new car and though we knew Colin would not be in, he had made arrangements for another sales person, Charles Raymond, to assist us. Once again, Charles was both very friendly and most professional. He took time to make sure we understood everything we were signing and then sat with us in the car to review all of its options. All in all, buying this car was a very positive experience, one which we will certainly tell others about. We look forward to enjoying our new vehicle and to Kanata Honda’s servicing down the road. UPDATE June 2018: I brought my almost 2 year old van in for a recall and asked that the brakes be checked as well as they were pulsating a bit. I asked that the dealer call before doing any work that was chargeable.

When I got the call to go pick up the van I was very surprised and happy to see that not only did Kanata Honda provide a full brake service for free they even managed to get my expired 1 year/20 000km portion of warranty to pay for the machining of all 4 rotors.

This level of service for a customer with a used van purchased at another non Honda dealer... just blows me away.

The staff are all very pro and friendly. Love this dealer. Thanks everyone!

Absolutely wonderful experience with the service department. The pick up and drop is wonderful and they were quick to look at the vehicle.
Unfortunately I was told that the rear view camera on the Honda Civic is just a bad quality camera and the unfocused late 90s quality of the image is just what I should expect with the new 2019 vehicle. Which is too bad as my Ford Transit work van has a better quality image in the rear-view camera. Guess it's a good thing I don't reverse much .

But that is not on the Service Dept. That's on Honda.

Amazingly it was all ready, fresh from workshop, it had been tested and gassed up, and was ready to go. The Honda service team was quick to acknowledge that it was their mistake and not only fixed it within 24 hours, but also compensated us for not having the vehicle and for our time. I brought my Honda Pilot in for drive shaft repair. I was told that the part was on back order. I asked how long they estimated it would take and they responded .. not sure. 4 weeks went by, I called to follow up and they said the part was in. No one called me to inform me. They took 2 days for the repair. My husband picked up the car and noticed a terrible shake while driving. They are redoing the work. No one took it for a test drive. I received an email to say that they hoped I was satisfied with the service and when I called the service manager to give him feedback his phone clicks off and there is no opportunity to leave a message. I have been on hold with Honda Customer Service for 10 minutes ...
I am very disappointed with my experience. Unfortunately, I love my Honda Pilot, but will not purchase a vehicle here again.

Walked in looking for quotes on a motorcycle I was interested in. While I was there one of the sales reps sat me down and asked if I would like to order a bike today. He said I would need to put down a 500$ deposit in order to buy the bike. He then proceeded to have me sign a bill of sale without properly explaining what it was. I told him that I could come back in on Friday and give them a deposit. They have since called me back and said that I must buy the bike since I signed a bill of sale. I was never given a copy of this bill of sale and it was never properly explained to me. I never returned to give them the 500$ that was apparently needed to finalize the purchase and they never went ahead with any finance applications yet they are now calling me and telling me that I must purchase the bike. They have even threatened to bring me to court over this. Long story short I will never be purchasing anything from this dealership. They will try to bait you in with scare tactics.

My girlfriend and I went in to buy our first new car. We were greeted by a sales associate, Charles right away. He was very pleasant and helpful throughout our whole experience. He asked us questions to better understand our needs and wants and made the process feel effortless and enjoyable. He made sure we were happy with what we were getting.

I would like to start off by saying that we've been a Honda Civic driving family since 2001 in Canada and since the 1990s worldwide.

We went in to purchase a new Honda Civic Touring - 2016 (currently with a 2012) and after test driving were working on a final price but were on the fence about it. The car salesman was a fantastic guy (Chris Lysen, please see him if you go, but avoid the upcoming name) who negotiated the price with us and to finalize the deal with us he said a manager would come and give us the finalized quote to push us over the fence, little did he know what the manager was going to end up doing.

A small wait presented in the form of the rudest sales manager (award goes to Terry Hum) we've ever had the pleasure of meeting (this includes grocery stores). From us being on the fence, he pushed a sales paper in our face and said "that's all you can get, I don't need your sale, I make money on volume sales so your sale doesn't matter to me". It was the rudest sales experience we've had in our lives to say the least.

That soured the deal so badly for us as he didn't even have the decency to say a cheery hello or to just say "Unfortunately that's the best deal I can give, I can't do much more". I understand being stressed (if you're a doctor), but honestly because of his behavior we got up and left, I'd rather pay a premium to deal with a person who is a decent human that has manners. All he had to say was how that was all they could do and now it's up to us, yelling and saying I don't need your sale isn't what a manager does.

I'm sorry Terry Hum, but finishing a deal doesn't mean you shove a paper while saying I don't need your sale, it means you say unfortunately this is my best price so it's in your court now.

I genuinely feel disgusted by how he tarnished a wonderful experience and how the sales person's hard work went out the window because of a rude attitude manager.

I would like to advise people to please deal with managers that have the decency to treat you like a person and not just a sales number in their volume sales. Being treated as a human would have been another +1 in their sales as customer service to me matters a lot more than a small discount.

We were here twice to look at purchasing a CRV. The first time, we waited for 45 minutes for someone to approach us at all. When we were back in for a 7 pm appointment, we arrived at 6:40 pm and waited until 7:45 pm to have our appointment. All the usual sales tactics used, no negotiations, fixated on all of the things that people warn you about from buying at a dealer (more interested in talking about interest rates, the other car we were considering and our monthly payments etc. instead of talking about the full price of the car). We asked several times for their best offer, and nothing was given. Very pushy - not a good experience - we felt stressed the entire time.

We walked in expecting to buy a CRV, but this dealer bullied a sale out the door. Your sales staff will not be the reason I buy a car, but they will be the reason I walk away.

Ended up buying from Carling Motors instead who are highly recommended!

I negotiated the final price with the salesperson on a 2016 Civic and he brings out the manager to hustle me. The car I bought was in transit, on the truck in-bound to the dealership and he promised me that it will arrive in two business days. I say okay, no problem and I meet with the finance person to sign paperwork and put down the deposit. This is where I get harassed into buying four separate warranty & protection packages. She tried to sell me four packages that totalled $6,000 for a Civic. She kept saying, your car WILL break down, you don't want to pay for a $5,000+ engine replacement. She tells me customers come in everyday with serious engine and transmission problems. Five days after I signed the papers, the car still hasn't arrived at the dealership. The dealer missed the agreed upon delivery date and I cancelled my agreement with this dealer.
