NEVER EVER WILL RETURN TO THIS PLACE AND SUGGEST TO ANYONE. They are only working to fill their pockets not for customer's service. especially when you cancel the deal you will get to see different side of them. they will turn their face and won't get back to you via text message, calls or in person even after you tried to reach out them and if they do, they will just behave very very rudely. never ever pay them in advance if you're not sure to buy a vehicle from them otherwise you will lose your money and wont refund you. As i already lose my money. and the sales manager/finance manager whoever was it just being very rude he needs to learn some work ethics and how to treat customers. as he got to know i cancelled the deal, just started acting like i did a big crime and started barking at me.

I bought a used car from this dealership in September 2022 and I absolutely love it!! Its a REALLY nice car!! However, the tires that were originally on the car needed to be replaced as they didnt pass the inspection. So the dealership then put on brand new rims and tires and I drove to Fernie to pick up my new car. During my drive home the whole vehicle starting shaking violently!! I slowed down and it eased off a bit, so I maintained a slower speed until I got home.

The following week I take it in to MY mechanic to figure out the problem and he calls me and tells me that every single tire was not balanced at all. I drove about 70km home on brand new unbalanced tires that this dealership put on my car!!!!!!!!! They ended up paying for the fix, but still.....come on!!! I will never recommend that dealership to anyone!!

On my way home, my vehicle broke down just outside Fernie on a Saturday afternoon. Not much was open and things looked dim. Legacy Ford came to the rescue!!! They had a tech available and were willing to help us out however they could. Unfortunately I'm in a Hyundai so parts weren't available but they were willing to still take care of us! Love my car hate the dealership. Unfortunately have had nothing but a run around to get parts from them. One recall small little clips for the roof rack took them 2 years to fix, had the run around trying to get the recall fixed as well. Took it in to get the tires changed over and when I got it back my brand new car had dirt all over the seats and door panel. They Never return phone calls, say they will phone you right back and never hear from them again. Got a new battery in my car it died within two weeks (even though I drive it every single day), Boyfriend called they seem to think it’s not an issue that I don’t have a vehicle to get to and from work. The best they could do was say “well we have no batteries in stock maybe we will on Friday, you know with the long weekend how it is” what kinda dealership doesn’t have batteries in stock? It’s getting ridiculous. Seriously thinking about trading in my car and going with another dealership as they have been nothing but a nightmare to work with.

We recently were on our way through Fernie to Osoyoos,when my wifes Lincoln suv was having transmission issues. We stopped in to see if they could look at it and Bruce(Service Manager) and service team were awesome. Got it in and ordered what it needed right away. So friendly and treated us really well. Even the sales people were so friendly. Offered to drive us to Cdanbrook for a rental even, only cause they had no loaner. Even though they are not a Lincoln dealer they were so friendly. My wife and I purchased a 2019 Ford Fusion Hybrid a few days ago.
We drove to Fernie from Lethbridge to get the vehicle we wanted. CJ was friendly and courteous. We went for a pleasant test drive and bought the car. A meeting with Chris was also friendly and professional.
A few days later the dealership sent someone to Lethbridge to pick me up and back to Fernie so I could pick up my car. That was above and beyond!
They also had the gas tank full.

We first met the service team at Legacy Ford Fernie when my wife and I moved to the Elk Valley in 2016. From the beginning, we have always received exceptional service including everything from last minute bookings to rides to the ski hill on pow day service appointments. As with any customer service based business, there have been issues that have come up through the years, but those issues to us have been few and far between and always rectified in a timely and satisfactory manner. When we decided to trade in both of our vehicles (both Fords), and go down to one truck, we immediately went to Legacy Ford first, not even just for the brand, truth be told my wife isn’t even all that partial to Ford, we just wanted to keep the level of service we had, and knew we would continue to receive. Mac and the sales/finance team were easy to deal with, getting us into the right truck for us and since buying, Sherry, Dylan and the rest of the service team have kept us rolling smoothly. There are always “Better” deals to be found elsewhere, but in my opinion, when you buy and support local you will be taken care of. Thank you Legacy Ford Fernie!

Was met by friendly Laura who kept me in the loop about my service. Was out on time as promised and I was happy with the work.
Brought the van back in Saturday for the 100 km retorque and Sherry, who had seen me drive in, had already summoned the tech to perform the maintenance!
Wonderful, friendly staff. Always feel any work I have done there is explained thoroughly and honestly.

Sold us “the best” warranty they had which was supposed to cover everything including rims and tires. ($6000 extra ) Pregnant wife had a tire side wall fail and it destroyed her front passenger rim. We went to discuss getting it covered under the warranty they sold us only to find out that the warranty doesn’t cover tires or rims…(which we requested )
The price of just the rim would cost roughly $1500 not mounted or with a tps. We had prices from 5 other business for the rim none exceeded $1100 with a tps and mounted. We opted for they’re “new” tire and rim warranty. It would be half the price of the rim, we would get new tires and the car would good in a week or less.
We were told they’re was “one rim left and it would be here in 5 days if we order it today!”
AFTER ALMOST 6 WEEKS OF BEING LIED TO AND LED ON IT FINALLY SHOWED UP!
This shop cost us triple the amount of money in the end then it would have cost us to go buy after market rims/new tires and have a PROPER service shop install them. My wife was forced to drive my truck to work daily crushing her bank accounts with the cost of gas and putting unnecessary wear and tear on it, which then caused it to need work done to that as well costing us MORE MONEY and causing her to miss multiple days of work COSTING US EVEN MORE MONEY! Somehow I left that shop with two key fobs that don’t work right anymore that they “didn’t have time to check” and TWO hub caps missing. (they took one off the back rim and put it in the new rim thinking I wouldn’t notice, no idea why the other is missing all of a sudden). I WILL NEVER DEAL WITH THIS SHOP EVER AGAIN. THE WORST SERVICE I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED AND CONVENIENTLY THE MANAGERS WERE NEVER THERE WHEN I WAS!!
0/10 stars would not recommend even if they were the last shop in town

I would avoid these guys if you can. Just picked up a truck in April, just got an estimate for repairs after the first service for $5500 in repairs that should have been taken care of before it was sold to me. Have an independent mechanic do a thorough inspection before buying anything from these guys or just go somewhere else.

My girlfriend and I went in to trade in one of our small cars on a larger truck. The staff here instantly made us feel welcome. We ended up opting for a used 2016 Ram but they treated us like we were buying a fully loaded brand new Expedition. The team made sure to work with our ultimatums and always -always- listened to what we had to say. There was never any pressure. The young buck, Christian, demonstrated excellent interpersonal skills and good product knowledge; even on a different brand of pickup. Chris, Rick and James also made sure we weren’t in the dark on any of it. If you want western hospitality, the better side of a small town vibe, and an easy purchasing experience, I recommend these guys whole heartedly. I’ll be coming back when we need a new vehicle some time down the road.

EDIT: As promised, I did return! Today, I drove home in a 2018 Golf GTI. I was blown away by the trade in value on my truck, Cody's knowledge as a salesman, and Chris' willingness to work the numbers with me in the way I needed. 2 years later and the service at Legacy keeps getting better. In the past few years I've had several recalls on my truck. Legacy always looks after me. Their customer service is small town, and they care. I've been to other ford dealerships that cant even compare to legacy, they blow all of them out of the water. Sherry in the maintenance dept, and james in sales are wonderful people. They bend over backwards to make sure they leave an impression, and they leave one hell of an impression. Overall, a horrible experience. Initially I was very appreciative that they got me in so quickly to get my truck back on the road...now, I will definitely not be going back in the future. For starters, when I dropped the truck off I very specifically said that I thought the issue was either the alternator (most likely based on what had occurred) and/or bad battery cable connections. Even with this, I was still charged for over of 2 hours to "diagnose" the issue and to charge my completely drained batteries (which doesn't seem like something to be charged for anyway). Next, since my truck was in anyway, I asked if they could reconnect the light bar...thinking this would be a quick easy task...apparently it took a little over an hour and cost me $129 to swap out the wire and reconnect it to the battery cable head, should have done it myself. I went to pick up the truck, in shock by the total bill; having helped replace an alternator in the past I had an idea of how long it takes to diagnose the issue and replace it...As I walked up to my truck, it smelt HORRIBLY like clutch, as it is a newer clutch that I have had ZERO issues with, this seemed odd to me but I let it pass thinking the smell would dissipate quickly. Finally, on my drive home, I noticed something on my hood...I looked closer when I got home and found that there was a new dent, very very fresh paint chips, from the inside to the outside of the hood...as if the hood had been dropped on something. I returned to Ford the next day to address some of the above issues. They came and looked at the dent in the hood and did acknowledge that the new alternator would have been set just below where the new dent in the hood was while they were taking out the old one...but they would not confirm if the hood had accidentally been dropped on it. While looking at the truck, he said it smelt like something was burning. I mentioned the smell of the clutch when I picked it up and he said the truck had stunk up their shop the day before...I had him check with whomever pulled it into the shop and he said that my truck kept stalling as he tried to pull it in (this has NEVER been an issue for me). I said, to me that sounds like the guy probably didn't know how to drive a standard truck very well and probably had it in third...therefore riding the clutch to get it into the shop...I'm sure it was because I am a woman that they told me that there must be something wrong with the clutch and that it must be slipping, as if I know nothing about my vehicle or clutches...They did however offer to take it into the shop and look at the clutch (not to confirm if they caused damage to it, but to "so kindly" let me know if it is getting worn and should be replaced or require work soon). I said no thanks...The smell lasted for over 2 days! That in itself is an indicator of how hard they rode the clutch...SO, be wary of having your vehicle serviced here, especially if you are a woman, they will take advantage and assume you aren't knowledgeable about vehicles. Sad, that this is the world we still live in today. In the future I will take my truck to the small local businesses that show respect and take ownership for their work and mistakes. Not only do I now have a dent and chipped paint that I have to pay to fix in my hood, I don't even trust that the alternator they installed will hold up, and am worried that they wore down my clutch and may have issues with it sooner than later.
