I bought a new Escape from Cam Clark Olds just over a year ago. Overall, really good service and I'm happy with how they tried to handle my post purchase concern. The issue is that I bought sight unseen which in retrospect is my fault but I was trusting that this could work on a new vehicle purchase. I asked that given that I live several hours away that the vehicle be closely inspected for flaws and I was ensured that this was the case (I have texts to prove this point). When I received the vehicle it had/has a dent in it. These folks did offer paintless dent repair but the likelihood of the paint cracking due to the 'sharpness' of this dent is high, creating further problems so not a great solution. To their credit, they did offer to swap the vehicle for a different one in stock. The issue for me is all that was left was a black or white vehicle and not what I wanted. In the end they tried...and I still have vehicle with a dent in it which I have to say disappoints me every time I look at it. Would I purchase there again? Maybe, but not without inspecting the vehicle closely prior to closing the deal.

Super service. Issue with front end grind and tire losing air. Got in the next day.
Ended up being metal on metal in brake rotor and nails in both front tires. They checked the other front tire without request. I was aware of very slow leak. Brake rotors and pads replaced as well as loose tie rod - wheel alignment. Got back when promised.
Now good to go for (hopefully) thousands of km.

We paid retail price, not wholesale as claimed by the dealer’s response to this review (another manifestation of their dishonesty). And what does Cam Clark have against Americans?

We purchased an F-150 will multiple issues. It has a cold start rattle and it dies when driving on the highway! We feel like we were sold a vehicle that they knew had problems and they aren't willing to do anything to help remedy the situation. Steer clear of this dealer.

Our experience:
We are an out-of-town buyer. After asking all our questions about the vehicle we bought a plane ticket to pick up the vehicle. We were told the vehicle was in perfect running condition. When we picked up the vehicle it ran great. We started our 1,500 km journey home. On the way home the vehicle died 4 or 5 times while on the highway. It was very scary and dangerous as the accelerator would not work at all. Once we made it to Montana the vehicle stopped dying and we made it the rest of the journey without a problem. We thought maybe the vehicle just had bad fuel and didn't notify the dealership.

After arriving home, the vehicle was in storage for 30 days. I just stared driving it again. It has died the last two times I've driven it. I called the dealership and spoke with one of the sales managers, Cory Bond. He informed me that there is nothing Cam Clark Ford is willing to do to fix the problem. I am very disappointed in my experience working with them. They have poor customer service and I would not recommend buying from this dealership.

Buyer beware. Here is my experience.

On July 17, 2019, we were on holidays in the Calgary area. On the way home we stopped in at Cam Clark Ford in Olds to look at a 2016 Honda Accord. We had a limited time so took the car for a test drive and decided to buy it.

As we looked the car over, a concern I had was the tire wear. When asked what the tire wear was the Salesman explained it was 6/32. As requested, a mechanic came out and retested the tire wear assuring me it was over 5/32. When I got home and checked the tires, they measured under 4/32 at the time of BC provincial testing.
When we left the dealership, we discovered immediately within the first few kilometers the row of running lights on the drivers side were half burned out and would have to be repaired.

The thing that irritated me the most came after we had agreed on a price and then went to the finance office to sign the final papers. When the papers were handed to me to sign I noticed that there was a documentation fee of $599. When I inquired what this was, the finance manager said it is a Govt. requirement and was not negotiable. Frustrated I paid the fee. When I got home and searched DOC on google and discovered this was a dealership charge and not a government requirement at all. What was unique about this purchase was that I paid the full amount of the deal in cash. There was little negotiating on the price, however, I felt as though they made up the difference with a documentation fee that was excessive and unfair. The staff is very friendly, however, buyers watch for things like tire wear, excessive documentation fees and valid consistency between paper reports and the actual condition of vehicle.

Being a vehicle Sales Person in the past, working for both Dodge and Ford, I know when I’m being treated fairly and when I’m being scammed, well my experience with Cam Clark Ford was AMAZING! Taylor was fantastic, she understood what we needed, what we wanted and she found us the perfect vehicle! She was upfront about everything including price. It was the best experience I have ever had, and I don’t think I could have sold myself the vehicle better then Taylor did! But Tara was relentless in keeping me satisfied and happy. When I returned to have the noise checked out I was impressed with Brent. He had a pleasant disposition and I appreciated him explaining the issue to me in a way I understood. What I also impressed with is the respect shown to me as a woman. This is important because not every dealership demonstrates this and it is of the utmost importance to me. Staff seemed knowledgeable and friendly. Brought my car in for a recall fix, brought it in for 9 A.m, then went for a 2 hour walk. Came back, and my car was still not in the shop. Then I went to see the service staff, and they said my car would be in next. In a short amount of time, it was in being inspected.

Maybe a buch of other folks were booked before me for that day, but my car did go in awfuly quick after I returned from my walk. Anyhow the service was done good and the staff were good to deal with.

I don't need to hear the same story every time that the charge is need to cover shop supplies. The shop supplies charge should be based on actual shop supplies used for my particular visit, not a percentage of the bill or whatever method is used for creating such a high charge on top of the other charges.
