If I could do 0 stars i would, do not buy from this place.

This truck was not running when we first went to see it, and we waited over a week to be able to test drive the truck, we put a $1000 down to hold the truck, they had another customer test drive the truck before us, even though it had a hold on it and then let us test drive it.

It did well in the test drive, but after a week the check engine light came on, we got an appointment a few weeks later, they told us that the truck's reductant injector was not working, and it was going to cost $800 to fix it it, they offered that they would "give us a deal" and we only had to pay $319. Also we found out later that the trucks radiator was leaking and they were going to put it through the extended warranty, even though the truck did not even have 500km on it, from the time of purchase.

the customer service was horrible and never buy a vehicle from this people as they will make you pay to fix it, if anything is wrong., even if it’s only a couple days off their lot.I have contacted AMVIC, and they are investigating, but AMVIC can not force them to fix it or pay for the fix.

AMVIC did find out that they knew about a radiator leak before they sold us the truck, and they did fix it, but not till they were found guilty of not disclosing the information.

We brought in our Ford F150 for routine work in August, 2014 to Cochrane Northstar Ford.Before even leaving the lot we noted scuff damage to the rear bumper., and that the backing to our after market remote/starter attached to the key ring was also missing, as well battery, and license plate light was charged for, yet not working. Shirley, the Customer Service Rep, stated that she could not see how their people could be responsible, and that the Manager, Amanda had 'just left'. The manager, Amanda, when called the next day, refused to consider our concerns, stating that "our tech guys would never loose the stuff or cause any damages, ever." She was disinterested and verbal hostility, We had assumed professional warmth and concern! Receiving none, we took the alarming matter in writing to Ford Canada, who forwarded it again to the manager of Cochrane Northstar Ford, who has still not acknowledged or contact us, now six months after the incident.

We recently purchased a 2021 Bronco Sport from NorthStar Ford Cochrane. Our journey to owning this unique vehicle began with a visit with Randy Braun in the summer of 2020. Even though this vehicle wasn't available for another year, Randy piqued our interest with all the features and information available at the time, and patiently answered our questions. We met with Randy again in early March 2021 and he invited us to test drive a Bronco Sport Badlands. After our test drive, Randy again answered every question we had, and by the end of our visit, the deal was done. To our delight, the Bronco arrived earlier than expected. We were pleasantly surprised to see it sitting in the showroom waiting for us to take it home. Can't thank Randy enough for all his expert help through the sale to delivery process. His vibrant personality and his passion for his job made my experience of going into a dealership amazing. Buying a car is never an easy process, but the team at Northstar; specifically Reggie was very helpful and knowledgeable he went above and beyond to explain the details of each vehicle I expressed interest in. I would definitely recommend coming to North Star if you’re looking to purchase a truck! Absolutely blown away with how friendly, informative and respectful each employee i met was.
Normally I wouldn't have my family members too much involved but on my new 2021 Bronco pick up day I was exhausted, with a massive migraine. I can't tell you how much i appreciate you and your team with their customer service. At no point did I feel pressured, or dumbed down or even treated with sexism as often is the case when there is a male companion with a female client. As a feminist, I was so glad your team did not ignore me or treat me like I didn't know anything because of my gender. Each question was answered with respect no matter how unknowledgeable I may have been on the subject - cars are not my expertise!

Not sure about the sales department but the service department is lacking.
Called to book a oil change and tire rotation, reiterated it twice that it was for Cochrane, showed up in Cochrane at 8am and appointment was booked in Calgary. Said they would be able to get it done, I asked if I could pick it up by 1pm, they said no problem. 1:30 I got a call saying the truck wasn’t done and they could put me on a waiting list to hopefully get it done by end of day but would rather book another day.
I do not understand how in 5 and a half hours plus my drive to dealership how they couldn’t accomplish a simple oil change? Wasn’t even worried about the tire rotation. I question their ability to problem solve or manage themselves at all. From the time they called me at to the time I arrived they could have done the oil change at least, anyone in the shop would be more than qualified to do the job.
Lost a day of work plus another one apparently to get the work done. Hopefully I will have better luck at another dealership.

Took our car to Fort Mcmurray North Star ford and was charged over 800 dollars for a new battery and air conditioning recharge. When we got the car back we noticed a new noise and took the car back. The service manager Richard Spring left us a voice message that our air conditioning motor was blown and would be over 500 dollars to fix. We denied the fix and took it to another mechanic who confirmed nothing was wrong with our air conditioning motor and the noise was a common problem of water getting into the fan housing. I complained to the customer service manager who said without written proof, they would not do anything. Not even interested in listening to the voice mail. I called the owner Marty Giles who threatened me for yelling at his staff after they tried to charge me over 500 dollars for unnecessary repairs. We are taking this to the better business bureau, good luck threatening them.

Was really hoping their new location would turn this dealer around after all of the bad experiences I’ve had with them previously. Stood at the service enquiries counter, three people behind the counter never acknowledged I was even there. Waited and finally walked out without ever been acknowledged by anyone. Went to Cochrane Dodge to service my Ford product. As soon as this Ford is due for replacement it will be my last, so I don’t have to come here for another thing.

This service center has totally turned around since Damien took over. We had problems with our 2017 Escape we bought new from this dealership and never got it resolved by previous managers after countless visits and complaints. Damien sat with us, listened to us and committed to fixing our car. After 2 visits, it works perfectly and has restored our faith in this dealership.

Would not recommend to anyone. I have taken my work truck to them twice now and have had to come back multiple times for the same problems. The service advisors are your typical dealer employees, out to get every penny they can and do not care about you at all. To put this into perspective my company was paying for these services. I will drive to Calgary next time the truck needs work and hope I get better service there. Would not recommend.

The service advisors there should be Walmart greeters.

Been taking my pickup here for about 1-2 years. Cassandra has always been great and her communication is through the roof. I'm busy at work and I love that she provides text updates as I can't always take phone calls.
I had a slight hiccup once but Damian (Service Manager) was a complete stud on the matter. He heard me out, understood the situation and fixed the problem immediately.
I sometimes work out of town, so that coupled with two young kids can leave my truck a disaster. The last two times I was there I paid the $99 for the vehicle detailing. And it didn't disappoint. My truck looked right back to new condition. So good that I actually took my wife's (non Ford) vehicle in just for the cleaning. Keep up the great work!

I bought a 2016 f150 Lariat Special Edition and I am very disappointed. I have put 2100km on it since purchased, got the truck with 26,638km and there are issues with the 4x4, there is a grinding noise coming from the bottom, the brakes need replaced or something is wrong with them. Some major drive train issues. I bought the extended warranty package but I am angry because the "vehicle inspection" report said it was all good to go.. I immediately heard the 4x4 issues so they didn't check it at all. There is also a cab heater fan issue, the doors stick open from the cold, the 4x4 is very loud, the engine had a lifter knock until I did a couple.bottles of sea foam through it..... I am absolutely disappointed with Northstar in Fort Mac!!!!!!!!! I love my truck and I baby the hell out of it. I honestly wished I could return it. I'm very let down by this.

I would just like to say, I had the pleasure of taking the ford courtesy shuttle today with my girls, and the gentleman that was driving me to my location was AMAZING!! I was a little upset since I thought we had a rental from enterprise set up for me with my vehicle in the shop for the day, he honestly just turned my day around from the moment he grabbed the girls and I. We have been a ford family since growing up in Fort Mcmurray and this is a prime example as to why we stay!!

Ford did a horrible job with the 2018 f150 engine I have had many problems already in almost 2 years BUT northstar Ford serviced department has been amazing! To me. Mike the service manager has been awesome with listening to my problems and doing his best to fix everything I need. I have not once needed to worry when something happened to my truck that northstar would not fix it. I am not happy with Ford as a company on what product they are putting out but not every vehicle will be perfect. Overall the service department has made things a lot easier for me not to worry and even if you bought your vehical somewhere else I'd strongly recommend coming here instead they treat you very well and if possible deal with Mike he is amazing to deal with

Today is Saturday. Doing a rear axle swap tmrw. Knowing that of course they are closed on Sundays, I called this morning at 9 AM looking for parts and some fluids....nobody answered the Parts line, so I left a msg like they ask you to. After waiting and waiting for the call back that never came, I call back. Still no answer....call back to the Service Dept....no answer. So I finally call Reception/Sales and ask what the hell is going on and if this is normal operating procedure. I get told that everyone went home at noon. It is now 2 pm! Google page says they are open until 5...and the receptionist says even that is wrong as sales is open until 6!
Thanks for nothing other than wasting my time NorthStar Ford...it is the little things like customer service that brings people in the door to buy the big expensive trucks later. Fail on your part...and a lost customer.

Sales person Dave is very knowledgeable and helpful. Put every effort to make customer happy.
I have to say my wife and I were not easy clients, we were not sure what exactly we needed from the beginning and it took us a while to find out the perfect car. David was very patient and helped with right questions to help us.

Garry and Tracy is a new sales management and financial team were very cooperative too to help us to do everything in one day(the only day off we had).

Also service manager Mike is very good. It is one of the reason why we decided to get both family cars in this dealership.

Barb receptionist is very accomodative and supported us in a very short notice to get a service appointment. She is very relaxed and helped our 2 kids to be busy giving them colouring sheets, crayons and books

It's so great and unique to have such a good team of people in our town.

WORST FORD Dealership that I've ever dealt with. It took them 33,000kms to figure out that the rear suspension on our 2016 FX4 Larriat was incorrectly installed from the factory. (They up-sold us on a new rear sway bar and airbags, which made the ride worst.) After finally changing out the rear suspension for the correct one, it slightly rides better. As it bottoms out, bangs and jars your body. Everyone complains about the terrible ride in this truck. My friends tease me- on why would I continue to drive this "rolling wreck"

The dealership refuses to fix the leaky airbags they sold us and installed. Plus my mirror was hang from the windshield when I picked it up for the non repairs on my airbags... the service manager refused to fix the "leaky" airbags, plus refused to fix my broken mirror. I drove the truck down the street to Cystal Glass and paid the $100's to reglue my mirror back on.

NOW the driver seat bracket welds have broken & failed. This is a major safety concern, putting our lives at risk.... I just dropped it off at the dealership this morning with only 36,000 kms. Fingers crossed that they actually fix it under their "Selective Warranty",

I'm upset and speechless...about year ago I did have different experience - today I did bring my car for pre-paid service and I did state my extra concerns (qualifying under warranty)....:
- "no- we cannot do this - we need a whole day for this (@#$!)"- no option was offered to me - NOTHING! (no additional appointment, no shuttle, no car replacement etc.)
- "If we follow yours suggestion and they wrong - we charge you, no - we not going to checking for software update on your vehicle.... " #@$!
Why are you there?????!

Update: Thank you Mike for professional approach - today NorthStar Ford did everything - as asked! For this reason I did "upgraded" my opinion to "4" Stars!

First let me preface this review with a simple fact. I'm a Honda man. Full stop, without question. That said, our overall experience at NorthStar Ford (Cochrane) was amazing. Together with my spouse, we wanted a fuel efficient, CUV that would be fun to drive, have some creature comforts and be affordable. We walked in and were met by Brian. By far my most enjoyable experience ever with a car salesman. Friendly, outgoing, personable, knowledgeable and never once tried to push any different package. Needless to say, between Brian in sales and Jodi in finance, this was our first new car together and it won't be our last; certainly not from NorthStar Ford. Service was exceptional, we would HIGHLY recommend Brian and his colleagues at NorthStar Ford. We bought our new 2014 Ford Escape SE just over 2 weeks ago... we will return again!
