ALERT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! DO NOT SHOP HERE!
The sales staff lie about what features are on the vehicle you're looking the purchase, also a switch flicks off once you sign the paperwork.
I have a sneaking suspicion they knowingly sell lemons.
I bought a 2017 ford expedition, there was a slight rattle that I heard, I brought it up before signing the paperwork and they assured me it was nothing and would fix/ have service connect me to arrange an appointment. 2 weeks after purchase and multiple times calling the dealership they finally called me back and we booked an appointment....... after 3 separate appointments to fix the, easy fix, it's been fixed, with "missing clips, tape and zip ties", turn out the noise was from a fuel line that was missing mounts, and that it didnt come up in there pre-sale inspection.
LONG STORY SHORT AVOID MACLIN FORD LIKE THE PLAGUE!!!!!

Went into Maclin today (Feb 15) with my wife and son to purchase a 2019 Ford Edge that we saw advertised out front with a sign in the window, price of $33,999 marked down to 32,199. We went in, spoke with the sales person (Bill) who was great to deal with. Went for a test drive, and went to do the paperwork to complete the purchase. Once the paperwork had been completed, Bill took it in to the sales manager (Madison) for approval. Both men came back and Madison proceeded to explain that he'd put the sign in the wrong car and the actual price was 38,000 and wanted to give me a 'deal' at 36,000. The sign however had a stock number matching the stock number on the vehicle we wanted to purchase. When we refused to make a deal with him for a higher price he suggested we leave the premises and admittedly I was very upset. I got the feeling that he was trying to pull one over on us. It could have been a mistake if the stock IDs did not match but they did and we have pictures to prove it. I feel they were using this as a 'bait and switch' and they need to be held to account.

Vehicle was taken in for a service at 8:00 am. Had to call numerous times to reach someone. No return phone calls from Service Advisor. Was supposed to have a shuttle service by 5:00 pm. Vehicle still in shop - might be done by end of day (after 5:30 pm). Lots of polite lip service ... but no customer service!! Will go to Advantage Ford for reliability! Great at selling vehicles ... used to be good at servicing them ... from a former long-term client.

DO NOT GET YOUR VEHICLE SERVICED HERE. This service department is an absolute joke, every single time I have to bring my vehicle in. 9 times out of 10, no one picks up the phone. When I do manage to get someone on the phone, they can’t find my file.

The rate of turnover in staff here is unlike anything I’ve ever seen, resulting in a continuous state of incompetence.

I made an appointment this week to get an oil change and the winter tires put on. I left it there for THREE DAYS, and when I came to pick it up, no work had been done on it, with no explanation as to why. OIL CHANGE and TIRES, with an appointment, and in 3 days, they didn’t get it done. I didn’t even have a missed call, email, or voicemail from them to let me know of this.

No notes on my file as to why. No apologies from the employee I spoke with on the phone. And when I said I have to come and pick it up regardless because I need my vehicle for the weekend, and asked them to bring it out front for me, he says “I’ll try and get to it”. Never once was I rude to the staff here, and I deserved better than what I got here.

Do not waste your money on a Ford. And if you do own a Ford, do NOT get it serviced at Maclin. I owned a Honda before, and if you want to experience real customer service, and a happy, functioning service department, no one beats the experiences I had at Honda West.

Thanks for wasting my time, and for proving to me time and time again, that improving your customer service experience is not a priority to your company.

I had issues with my back gate window and on both incidences they had the parts and assisted me with changing the parts...right then and there, and no extra charge.
During their tire sale, they gave me a great deal and informed me of all my options on how the tires worked and what would work best for my situation.
I couldn’t have got a better deal anywhere else and with the wheel alignment I asked for...it was done perfectly and they even showed me the illustration of how my vehicle looked before and after.
I am very grateful for the parts and service staff and how they made me feel like I was the only one that mattered during my time there.

The people are nice, detailing is very poor. I’ve done a better job for $40 at Canadian tire. Not very impressed with what they go over in an inspection, or think is “Fit to pass” on my used f150. I’m sure they could make this up to me, if they reached out on a follow up. Definitely not the worst Ford dealer in Calgary, but need much work to be a top par dealer. None the less I’m pretty happy with the truck, and got an okay deal.

Misled on a number of points when agreeing the sale as when I collected the car they tried to up the finance payment from what we’d agreed, tried to place extra deductibles on the warranty they offered to include, pushed multiple times for ‘further options’ I said I wasn’t interested in, automatically ticked 5 stars for their customer service on their sheet without even asking me, and kept me waiting for over 20 minutes after my booked appointment time whilst I was always told someone would be with me in 2 minute, and didn’t action all the points I mentioned about the car. Service was poor and largely arrogant when collecting my vehicle which took 2 hours for a simple process, so make sure you stand your ground and don’t get pushed in to anything if you do business with them.

2019 I have a great opportunity to add to my previous experiences here. Lawrence has now dealt with me twice. There was an oil change in between that he wasn’t here. I have to say that time wasn’t the same - it was still efficient though. He’s amazing in the service department. He’s very personable. Even if you’re frustrated he finds a way to make it better. I work in customer service and I’d hire him in a heartbeat. Maclin knew what they were doing bringing him on-board. I won’t go anywhere else.

2018 I continue to have great service. First they pumped my tire till I could get in to get it fixed. I used the shuttle driver for the first time. He is an amazing personality. So friendly and talkative. I’d use the shuttle again.

Really impressed with the customer service we received with regards to an unusual noise our diesel truck was producing. The team went above and beyond to make sure the issue was fixed and we were satisfied. The problem we had was very unique and it was hard to detect where the issue was coming from. The team had to drive the truck for a few kms to reproduce the noise and once the issue was fixed they took it for another drive for a final quality check. Just an incredible above and beyond customer service.

While we had some issues with getting updates on the progress of the fixes for our truck, this was NOT at a fault of the dealership. They did leave us several voice messages that just didn't come through on our phones properly.

Huge Thanks to Mike, Connor as well as Sean (or Shawn) who helped us make sure we leave as happy and stratified customers. Will definitely take our truck for any future fixes here!

I went in for scheduled maintenance for my Escape, with no engine issues that I was aware of. I was informed of some issues that should be addressed and had the issues fixed, which was unrelated to the new issue. Almost immediately within leaving the dealership the check engine light came on. Thinking it might have been have just been that they forgot to reattach a sensor or something I informed the service rep that I had been working with and brought it back at the first available time to me to be checked out. I couldn’t bring it for a few days and the rep wasn’t in that day I brought it in so I worked with another rep. Once it was scanned and checked, I was informed that a part was damaged in a separate system (it was just a sensor so it was not harming the engine or vehicle), but the cost is a little pricey for the repair so I declined to get it worked on immediately and would contact the rep I had been doing the previous work with to see if we could sort it out as the last repair was expensive too. I called and left a message with the rep I had been dealing with. The rep has yet to call me back a few days later.
Either way upon looking into where the now damaged part is, I found that it is right beside the extra work that was done to my escape.
They didn’t inform me that it was broken when doing the scheduled maintenance among the other issues they did inform me of. I find it doubtful that it broke immediately after leaving the dealership. This leaves me to conclude that it was damaged unintentionally during the work they did on my escape but the service rep working with me has not responded to any communication since I initially informed him the that the engine light came on and he told me to bring it back and they would look at it.

Edit: Over a week since the last call I left and the service Rep has not returned a call. I would not recommend getting work done here as you spend thousands on maintenance and they break something else and won't return calls

Roman (sales) and Paul (used sales mgr) did a good job putting the deal together. Got as much for our trade as they could, and we are happy with the Jeep we bought. A couple of things at the end of the experience and this is strictly constructive. As a manager, these are the type of things I want to hear about to make a business better: I had forgotten about the new winter tires I had on our trade in. I asked Paul if I could bring our all season tires and have them put on so I could keep the new winter tires for our daughter. He said I would have to pay to have them changed over. He also said there wasn't time as someone was coming to get the vehicle right away to go to auction. I realize this was after the "handshake" on the deal, but couldn't something have been worked out? I lost a set of brand new tires that our family could have used, and have a set of all seasons in my garage that I'll try and sell. Also, when we drove the Jeep away after it had been "detailed" for delivery, the interior still had gravel on the floor, and exterior was cleaner, but it was obviously a hasty job as there was still dirt all over. Inside the yellow inventory sticker was still stuck to the windshield (left a mess of glue I need to deal with), and dealer signs on the floor of the back seat. For a 5 star rating, these little things need to be looked after. I would still recommend this dealership. Like I said, Roman and Paul did a good job putting the deal together. When it's time to trade off our F350 next year, I'll still give them a shot at the business, but I'll pay close attention to the little things BEFORE the handshake!

Fantastic!
We dealt with Graham and he was great! When I got there, the truck I wanted was out front clean, full tank of gas, and started so it was nice and warm :) when we got back from the test drive he was waiting there to great us and answered any and all questions I had. When we went back to make the deal, he came out again and greeted us, held the door open, and even took the extra time to make sure things went smooth (even was late leaving for a family event!).
Candace in finance was also great! Very personable and genuine.

Yesterday was the 3rd time I had visited Maclin for minor maintenance and again I got multiple calls letting me know what need to be fixed and a friendly guy on the other end of the line asking if I would like it done and how much it would be. Not once have I picked up my car feeling ripped off.

This was also the second time they fixed mistakes from another dealership in Calgary for free!

12/12/12 Had another Oil Change yesterday, still great service. I didn't even have to step out in the cold, I drove right into their service bay. Greg was fantastic as usual, they even recommend I get new tires, but didn't hassle me to get them instantly.

09/24/12 Brought my 2010 Escape in, was happy with the service, they offered to have my broken windshield wiper replaced, which had been bugging me for 2 months. Would recommend them, and will be back for my next service.
