GM went above and beyond. I have young kids so stick around the dealership until the work being done on our Terrain was complete was not ideal. Having one vehicle, we are not able to easily get a ride back to our home. They came to us to pick up the vehicle so that I did not have to work around my kids nap times.
I had given them three things to look at and they resolved two of the items and told me it was too early to do the brakes (third item as I thought it was time for them to be done). Honesty is the best policy.

I had 2 recalls on my truck and the service writer Tennille was professional. She had someone performed an alignment check,walk around, tire tread check and under hood check before leaving the breezeway. She informed me what will take place with the recalls and how long it will take. Offered a ride and asked if there is anything else I need serviced on my vehicle.
When I picked up my truck, everything was finalized and reviewed with me. She topped off the service experience with a free vehicle wash coupon.

Not impressed with Bannister GM. I had engine failure on my 4 year old SUV last Saturday night and a full week later they are still “testing” my vehicle to decide if they are going to honour the Powertrain warranty. I’ve asked for a courtesy vehicle several times while I wait and I was told that I will only receive one if warranty is approved. Fair enough! Didn’t think it would take an entire week and I’ve been stranded in Armstrong as they take their time. Since Monday it’s been “oh later today” or “Ill know tomorrow!” I realize its a busy time of the year, but stranding your customers for over a week (I’m from Alberta by the way) while they try to find a way to get out of the warranty is poor customer service. Not sure if it’s because I’m a young woman, but the company that owns the vehicle (and an fleet of GM vehicles) will be hearing about how they treat their customers.

Worst Service Ever!
I have been a customer of Bannister GM for over 20 years.
Let me start off by saying that Don the shuttle driver is great and always has been. However the service department seems to have become very disorganized and a real let down and disappointing regarding the level of service that I had come to expect from this location.
Recently my new car had a problem with the screen so I took it in to find out if they could fix it but I had to wait over an hour to get a ride home as others got bumped ahead of me for rides. This was my first annoying encounter with the service department regarding this situation. They could not diagnose it on the first day. They call me back saying they need to see it for a minute to get a number off of the car but when I get there I learn they need to keep it for several hours, so I tell them to give me my car back the next morning but they did not return it for a few days. Then having to come back again and having to check in with them about getting my car.
The worst part is that they didn’t make any efforts of apology for my inconveniences and no managers reached out after the fact or anything. As a long time customer I think that I will be finding another dealership who cares about customer service.
I have sent a lot of people to this dealership over the years but I can no longer refer them in good faith.

Hats off to Sheldon for making this an exciting experience for both me and my fiancé!

We got a 2019 Bolt EV, we had different options but Sheldon's character was what sold us. Overall the car is extremely impressive, if you’re thinking about hybrid or EV but aren’t sure, I say go for it!

In general I felt informed and not at all pressured which makes for a peaceful car purchase. All in all this dealership is very well put together and experienced.

I spoke with Scott on the phone in the morning within a hour or so, I was meeting with Jeff to see the new 2019 GMC Canyon I was interested in.
Time was taken to discuss what I wanted, and what I didn’t want. I was taken out to look at a truck, Jeff went over all the features, and then we went for a drive.
I was sold! We then discussed options, and the final dollar!
As I was completing paperwork, the truck was being detailed.
Then Jeff took the time to show me how everything in the truck worked! We walked around to make sure everything was perfect!

I went in for an appointment to service my car and DARCY told me that I didn’t need to have it done today as the mileage was still low! He explained that since my service in January I did have the option of waiting until January to get it serviced. As I have just moved it was definitely an option I was interested in. I was just at Bannisters' last week for an oil change. I have no real complaints but each time I go there it takes 15-20 to get your car registered. The service attendants spend a lot of time on the phone. I was waiting for my car at the dealership & after an hour or so I checked the lot & there was my car just sitting there. I asked about it and was told that my service rep had to deal with me. A few minutes later I was told that my car was ready so I signed the papers & was gone. I spent a total of 1 1/2 hrs for an oil change. Hummmm. I believe this could be improved on. I have had other longer waits in the past. I will be back.

Great dealership. Bought my new truck there last Dec. 2014. They are friendly,knowledgable and go to great lengths to make the whole process as comfortable as possible. I am not comfortable with car dealerships and the people at Bannister Vernon did a lot to alleviate that. A tour of the sales, service and parts dept and the people in them pointed out the difference between them and many of the other competitors in the business. Richard Bisson answered all my questions, obviously knows his products and managed to do it without putting on any pressure. Very professional.

But I must RAVE about the exceptional service I get at the service station under the supervision of the service manager Jim Klettke. They did my semi-annual check twice already and when they found something to repair, I could not believe the lengths they went to, to make it right.
