I had the worst service experience recently at Camco with an owful and careless customer service. I found my car missing 2 main parts after receiving my car from the service and when returning home, the big black plastic engine cover AND the converter shield. Unfortunately after more than 10 calls and leaving notes to the service manager James and the dealership manager.. Ignorance is what I received. Always not on desk, leave a massage, he will call back bla.. Blaa Blaa.
And when the service manager called back after escalation, he simply denied that these parts were missing from the service and that it might be lost somewhere else...after back and forth and reminding him that this dangling shield was already part of the service I asked for to be fixed.. His response was is to wait, with an undetermined date, till they remove the needed parts from a preowned car IF they had one!.
Unfortunately the only way left to me now is to escelate to Acura Canada, hopping that they could help me with my issue with this dealership, and will post my review everywhere to warn others from servicing their cars at Camco.

These people at Camco don't have the minimal Quality control procedures to assure that every bolt and part have been returned in place before releasing to customers.

Lousy experience. Ended up with a rude salesman that treated me like I was too poor to buy an Acura, belittled and ignored my questions and made me feel like I wasn't worthy of his time. All this after I told him I had previously owned a TL and was considering the brand again. The place felt like a used car lot in the ghetto instead of a luxury shop. The Acura brand and service I once knew no longer exists. Will stick with the Germans for my new car.

Simon was great. Very knowledgeable and helpful, however, I've had nothing but issues with my car. Within 6 months of purchasing a brand new RDX the battery went on me, I had to get a new one. My windows rattle. When I went in for an oil change I inquired about the windows on the driver side. Apparently the rubber is not good. How can this be when its a brand new vehicle?! They told me they would order the parts and someone would contact me (its under warranty). I waited 3 weeks and then called to followup. The sales guy I spoke to had to put me on hold twice and then I found out that no one put the order in, it says on file what parts need to be ordered, but nothing was done. He told me the one part would be there in 2 days and the other one was coming from Vancouver it could take a week. I followed up again about 2 weeks after that phone call. I left a message for the parts department and I got no phone returned. I had spoken to someone on live chat several days later about this issue and they told me someone from the parts department would be in contact with me shortly. I've waited another 2 weeks and still no one has contacted me. The parts department is the worst! They don't seem to know what they are doing, they don't return phone calls, when you try to connect with them via live chat no one follows up. I've been waiting now for 2 months to get the rubber parts for my windows so they will stop rattling. The last thing I need is for something to happen to my windows! HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE service when you're dealing with the parts department. Good luck trying to get something fixed, they never return your phone calls! The more they keep ignoring the issue the more it shows that they aren't doing their job. I will never recommended to anyone I know to buy an Acura. For the money you pay you expect more (a battery lasting longer than 6 months and having to replace rubber parts on your windows so they stop rattling or being able to lift the window up with your bare hands) and better customer service.

I called about a car I found on autotrader and was told that it was being safety-ed and they didn't know when it'd be available to be shown. The guy on the line said he'd call me first thing the next day around 9am to follow up. I never received a call so I called back that afternoon, spoke with a different salesman (Jake) and was told he'd go check the status and call me right back. I never got a call back. I found out later that earlier that day my father in law called about the same car to try and get more info and was not only able to book an appointment on the spot to see the car on Mon but was also called back a few hours after my second call to say it was sold. Meanwhile I'm still waiting for a second call back from two different employees that never happened. Horrible customer service. Horrible sales practices.

I bought a used car and noticed after paying the deposit that there was rust on the car that was covered with paint. The dealership refused to give me my deposit back and indicated that I had signed and it was too late. Fine. My fault. Red flag #1. I bought the extended warranty, which is a complete waste of your time and money. This dealership will milk you dry and ignore you when you want to use the warranty services that they pushed to sell you. Red flag #2. A couple years later, I needed to order a small part for my car. They wanted to charge me a $150 diagnostic fee to LOOK at the car. Red flag #3. I ended up going to my local mechanic who checked it out for free. He let me know what part I needed to order from Acura. I left several voicemails for Camco Acura and they never got back to me. Red flags everywhere. I ended up going to Acura in Gatineau who was awesome. The entire experience at Camco Acura warrants a 0 star for terrible customer service.

Worst service from a car dealership I have ever experienced. I purchased a brand new RDX about eight months ago. I was convinced by the sales staff to purchase the extra warranty protection which would cover scratches and dents, flat tires damaged rims etc. Well if you hadn’t guessed already I got a flat tire and a damaged rim. I was told that it was not going to be covered and that I was on the hook for the repairs.
I said no problem and that I would like the money back from my warranty that I purchased and had never used. I was told that was not possible either. So not only are they not honouring the warranty and paying for the damage tire and rim which cost me just under $1700. They are also keeping the money that I gave them for the warranty package. $1600.
Just read the negative reviews. They are all the same. All related to the service department. This dealership is literally out to steal your money. I was charged $1200 for a rim and tire.
Save yourself the hassle. For the same price range you can get a BMW or Mercedes and their service is exceptional.

Their staff took on the challenge of ice/snow build up on the prop shaft; a part on order arrived the same day and they fit that in too. In 2013 I purchased a new TL from Camco Acura and for most of the ensuing time service was excellent. However, in the past six months the service that I have received has been dismal at best.
On one occasion I waited for hours at the dealership while the service department attempted to source a tire for my car. On another occasion I waited for 1.5 hours only to be told that the wrong parts were received. In the final (and my very last) visit to Camco I was presented with an $800 plus invoice for work which I was originally told back in December would be covered under warranty. After an animated discussion with the service manager and the assistant manager I was told that if I did not pay the invoice they would not release the car to me.
Too bad that things ended the way that they did, but the staff seemed to be uncaring that they have lost a customer.

Jake did a great job handling my vehicle purchase. I had been in a car accident and wasn't able to get around without a lot of pain, so Jake gave me as much information as he could over the phone and via email. I got winter tires installed on my car before we picked it up, and Jake offered to personally deliver the all-seasons to my home so that I wouldn't have to lift them into/out of the trunk. Very impressed with the level of service and very happy with the car.

My 2012 MDX is burning oil at a rate of 1L/2560KM. There is a recall for this problem (google "Acura oil consumption"). Camco simply closed my file and said it was within range. I will now need to check oil at every fill up on a so-called premium brand vehicle.

I saw your response below but cannot reply to it so I will comment here in my original review. I understand you are constrained by the tolerances passed down by Acura. My dissatisfaction with Camco is as follows:
- My file was simply closed and I was told that my vehicle was within Acura's tolerance range.
- When I spoke with the service manager he was confrontational and showed zero empathy.
- I was offered the ability to re-start my oil consumption test. I am self-employed and it is incredibly inconvenient to come in for four additional consumption tests at my expense.

If I were to start the consumption test again it is highly unlikely that I would fall below the Acura tolerance so this means I would waste 4 trips and approximately 10 hours coming in for nothing.

1L / 1500km means you are opening the hood and filling oil on, roughly, every 3rd fuelling. I paid a premium to buy an Acura based on their quality, convenience and customer service. I am disappointed in this experience as I would expect Acura/Honda to stand behind their products. I am in the process of shopping for a new vehicle. I will not purchase another Honda/Acura product again.

Bought my first pre-owned car here. So far the service has been great! Very knowledgeable staff, no pressure sales and genuine attention to detail. Will update once I actually receive vehicle this week.

Update: Car is running great. Price was great. Only thing that I think could have been better is the after-sale support. I basically paid, took the car and drove off. I had a lot of questions but they were so busy. Not enough to dock them a star though.

Service staff are friendly and efficient. The new dealership looks great. I bought a pre owned vehicle from here and the service has been very good. Only reason I didn't give this 5 stars was because despite the fact my car was "certified" pre owned and the battery supposedly had a load check performed, it died two days later. Camco had it boosted for free and replaced the battery also for free...still leaves a bitter taste in your mouth thinking the car was supposed to perform up to a high standard of testing but failed in two days.

The service desk, the face of the organization, has always been warm, jovial, hospitable and above all helpful. If there has ever been an issue, they have fixed it immediately. I'm sure your service manager :Mr. James Wonderful" MUST remember me (Vera Cotter) client with rattle on dash of her one old 2006 RSX.A year or so later unable to fix problem at the dealership, Honda Canada sent their engineers to Ottawa.They got to the root of the crazy rattle. The service from Camco Acura AND Honda Canada was over & above any I have ever received. I tell the story every chance I get. Too bad you not producing a manual transmission anymore, I miss driving your cars! Calm patience has it,s rewards!!
