Lincoln is a luxury brand under the Ford Motor Company and was established in 1917. The company is named after Abraham Lincoln and was acquired by Ford in 1922 but it was not until 1940 that Lincoln became a division of Ford. Lincoln is known for its luxury image of having fine interiors, smooth driving, and high attention to detail. The company is also recognized for providing vehicles for the U.S. President over the years, including Presidents Franklin Roosevelt, Harry Truman, and John Kennedy. The first Lincoln model named the L series was launched in 1917, but sales were negatively impacted by the tough economic situation. The current product line today consists of the Continental, MKS, MKC, MKT, MKX, MKZ, and Navigator.
The Lincoln MKS is a full-size luxury sedan that was first debuted in 2007 at the Los Angeles International Auto Show. It was released to the public in 2008 with positive reactions in comparison to other vehicles in its class, such as the Cadillac STS, Infiniti M45, and Hyundai Genesis. The MKS is loaded with advanced technologies including a Blind Spot Information System (BLIS), Active Park Assist, and Lane Keeping System.
