The Jeep Wrangler is back for 2016 with only a few minor adjustments. Wrangler enthusiasts will really appreciate these new changes, however, no matter how small they are.
The 2016 Jeep Wrangler is here boasting only a couple of minor updates. However, Jeep has made sure to keep the vehicle’s signature masculine and tough build intact.. Keep in mind that the Wrangler was not made for every driver out there because of its focus on specific qualities like the powertrain, durability and adaptability to different surroundings.
The exterior of the Jeep Wrangler is a bit different than it was in the past. The folding windshield that used to be present is, sadly, no longer offered. In fact, the Wrangler looks as if it went through a completely new style this year, now leaning towards a more stylish and luxurious look. These traits are evident in the changes made to the new bumper and fog lights. Also, because of the use of aluminum body, the Jeep is lighter than before, which may improve the performance of the overall drive. Another set of alterations Jeep has implemented area new shape and indents at the front. These changes are here to improve the driving experience thanks to aerodynamics.
Jeep has modified the Wrangler on the inside as well. Even though the vehicle is an SUV that emphasizes durability and power, the interior now demonstrates that it can do so much more. With a more stylish and handsome look inside, drivers will discover that the Wrangler now offers plenty of enjoy comfort and space. In addition, drivers are able to control most of the vehicle’s functions with just the centre console, making it more convenient than ever. The console is accompanied by a navigation system, which improves the driving experience even more.
Under the hood, Jeep now offers a diesel option. The engine in question is a 3.0-litre V6, which can produce 240 horsepower, while being connected to an eight-speed automatic transmission. It’s the same engine as the one used in the Grand Cherokee and Ram 1500. In terms of fuel efficiency, the Wrangler requires only 8.4 litres per 100 kilometres on the highway. For the amount of power the SUV produces, the fuel economy is not bad at all, which is a very attractive proposition to many drivers out there.
The Jeep Wrangler is known for its superb design as the very first edition was actually used in World War II. However, with this new direction Jeep seems to be leaning towards, it might just be able to become more than a mere “military” vehicle. With a durable exterior and a comfortable and spacious interior, most drivers are bound to get the most out of their vehicle.

It is rated at 240 horsepower and it could get up to 28 miles per gallon of highway. This car has a lot power and that means more fuel will be used. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) only gives the wrangler a score for rollover resistance--three stars out of five. It has not put the Wrangler through any of its crash tests.
The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) hasn't rated this Jeep very well, and this is what's most concerning: The two-door Wrangler is rated 'good' for frontal impact, 'moderate' in the seat-based rear-impact test, and just 'poor' for side impact. Four-door Wrangler Unlimited models have the same frontal and rear ratings, but they get side-impact scores of 'marginal'--better, but still not top-notch. The two-door has also been tested in the new small overlap front test, scoring 'marginal' here as well.
