i have been on the hunt for a nice car with my father for a few weeks now, and we had the pleasure to stop at valentine volvo for a brief look at cars last week. although we have not been able to come to a conclusion regarding our purchase, we immediately felt like family once we entered the store. Kate was very welcoming at reception and was available & ensured our needs were met until a salesman was available, unfortunately i do not remember his name but he was great and knowledgeable. it was truly a delight being in this dealership, if good feelings were our priority we would've bought a new car on spot!!

I generally hate car dealerships, and their salespeople, but Craig R was hands down the best; his laid back attitude and willingness to allow us to say what we wanted, rather than being told was exactly what we needed.

I purchased my Volvo from Valentine Volvo on 2/20/2021. This was my second Volvo XC60, but first purchase from Valentine. I had not been expecting to need a new car, and some unfortunate incident had me looking suddenly for a new one.
I was lucky enough to be paired up with salesperson Craig R. He was so great to deal with. Personable, kind, not pushy at all, and just overall a very pleasant person. Craig did everything he said he would, and made the experience smooth and as enjoyable as buying a new car can be. Craig also ensured that my car was perfect for me at the time of pickup.
Yuan was great, and got the me financing I was hoping for.
Claudia did a wonderful job with the delivery appointment, and explaining all of the new technology in my car to me. She even reached out the next week to address any questions I might have.
Overall, I had as good of an experience as I could have hoped for. Top notch place and staff.

Even if you take the amazing vehicles they sell out of the equation, the sales and support staff are first rate. I do my research before I ever go into a showroom and usually know more about the car I'm going to test drive than the sales person. That is not the case here. I'm very impressed by the knowledge, understanding, professionalism and courtesy of Trevor. We haven't signed a deal yet but even so I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this dealership to my best friends.
My wife & I just purchased a 2020 XC90 T6 Inscription from Valentine Volvo. From the time we walked in we were greeted with such respect and caring from the reception staff. The sales team of Richard & Jason were fantastic. Richard really seemed to have our best interest in mind the whole time that we were negotiating on the vehicle & Jason really pulled off a great coordinated delivery. Also the team in Parts & Service were respectful of our time & managed to pull off a quick tire swap and made sure the car was serviced & ready for the road. Rebecca in the business office was very friendly and made the purchase seamless and without issue. Lastly Claudia the "delivery specialist", this gal is worth her weight in gold! She took all the time necessary to make sure we fully understood all the features of the vehicle (and there are lots!). My wife and I recently leased an XC60, my first ever Volvo. A key factor in this decision and moving from our previous lessor of over 12 years was the excellent and professional service provided by Craig and Yuan. Craig provided us with all the information in a courteous and professional manner and always returned our calls promptly. Yuan was very patient in dealing with the buyout of our previous lease (not from Valentine). Overall a very professional service from this team who I have no hesitation in recommending.
Since moving to Calgary in 2009 I have leased five different amazing Volvos from Valentine Volvo. Why? Purchased a used Volvo through Justin in sales. The price was excellent and the process was straightforward with no unpleasant surprises. Justin even went the extra mile to track down a set of winter tires that had once belonged to the vehicle as well as printing out the vehicles full service history. If only all vehicle purchases were as simple.

I've gone here the last 2 times I needed to buy a new car and wound up buying elsewhere (Audi and Porsche). The vehicles are amazing! The sales staff always seem a little on the meh side.
I recently dealt with Yuan at Valentine Volvo and it was without question my best dealership experience throughout the entire (otherwise stressful) car buying experience. I actually ended up going a different direction than Volvo for lifestyle reasons, but my experience with Yuan was so exceptional that I wanted to share it here.
Yuan was extremely accommodating to my repeated requests for pricing breakdowns, specific inventory requests, and really everything. He was patient and helpful through multiple test drives and visits to the dealership. Yuan is the antithesis to every car salesman stereotype you can imagine; he is honest, fair, and not pushy.
Car shopping is always a mixed bag, but I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Yuan to friends and colleagues who are interested in Volvo.

I just bought a brand new XC40 a month ago. Unfortunately, it died on me in the middle of nowhere.
After several hours of trying to get something from Volvo Edmonton, I called Valentine Volvo located in Calgary. Valentine Volvo ended up driving up to where I was located with a spare vehicle for myself, and they had my car towed back to their dealership. Valentine Volvo continues to amaze me with the brilliant customer service they've provided me, and I will never end up going anywhere else.

I rarely write reviews, but my experience with Valentine Volvo has been exceptional. I typically dread purchasing a new vehicle, but these guys have made the entire process smooth and seamless. Right from when I first walked into the showroom, Justin approached to see if I needed a hand, he gladly took me out for a test drive in the new XC40. Justin explained so many of the features (safety, technology etc) absolutely zero pressure felt at all in the process, which is a HUGE plus in my mind!
What a super painless, fantastic process so far. Everyone from Justin to the business office (Kelsey) to the used car sales manager (Tyler) have been absolutely amazing to work with. Any questions I have had are quickly answered whether it be via email, phone or in person. Thank you for all of your help so far, looking forward to receiving my new vehicle! :-)

Test driving experience was great! Volvo lets their clients to test drive vehicle without a sale consultant in the back seat.

The team at Valentine Volvo are BY FAR the best! I have purchased three Volvo's from Richard Takacs. If you want to deal with a professional salesman that knows his product, Richard is the man. No high pressure sales tactics at all. Just a genuinely nice person to deal with. My latest purchase - 2018 V90 Cross Country and I love it!
On top of excellent sales service, everyone else deserves a shout out as well. Rebecca in the business department, Kevin at the service desk... Everyone is just top notch. To top it off, I have never had any issues with my Volvo cars.. Aside from routine maintenance and brakes, my Volvo cars have been bullet proof. That's why I am on my third Volvo.

A wonderful family run business that looks after your Volvo like it's theirs. While their shop fees may seem on the expensive side, there's never been a time when my car didn't come back to me completely repaired. In the ten years that I have been a client there haven't been any mechanical surprises, large mileage based work is signaled far ahead of time, and the pricing of work is well explained and straightforward to understand.
Valentine Volvo treats both its customers and employees fairly and with dignity, and as a result I am pleased to recommend them.
I'm on my Second Volvo V70R. The first one was purchased at Valentine under the Volvo Certified Vehicle program. It was purchased at 108k odo. The first oil change came up and brought it in. It was then i got a Long list of items that should be taken care of. I explained that i just bought the car from Valentine and they explained that the warranty didn't cover the items needed to be repaired. I paid the bill and got the work done. 2 oil changes later more items Needed to be replaced. Again not covered under warranty. 10 months later i found out from the mechanic having said "why haven't you done your major services" I explained i bought the car a less than a ago and have put 11000km on it.. He then realized that none of the Volvo Certification services had been done. Brian the manager got involved at that point. I got my money back for the car but none of the services. Services and winter wheels and tires added up to nearly $10,000 for at that point nearly 11 months of owner ship. I bought a Mitsubishi evolution after that but missed the practicability of the v70r . I waited 5 years for the one i wanted to come up for sale in that time i had talked to Valentine sales staff on 4 occasions all saying.. Oh that's a rare car why don't we get you in to a new one (Chinese built). I explained that all I'm looking for is a 2005-2007 V70R in titanium grey manual transmission. They could have gotten a sale and maybe a customer. I found one on my own and will be purchasing parts online and going to a Master Volvo Technician at an independent shop near chinook center. Over all Love the car but very disappointed with Volvo to the point at which I'm having a hard time letting go of my grudge..

They will go out of their way to assist you even though your warranty is up.

Always ready to help, the service department is responsive and got great deals on winter tires. I read someone's comments above and like in any business a transaction needs to be interesting for both sides... If a contractor ask too much for a home he won't sell it and if a buying doesn't want to pay he will never buy. That is simple business. At one point some transactions are just not worth while for either parties. I got a good price on my XC and I enjoy it, but then I didn't need other's opinion prior to make my choice, when you over think things you end up confused. Great product sold by great people is how I feel and I recommend it to everyone. (owned Land Rovers, BMWs, Fords and now proud owner of a Volvo)
They're one of the best dealers I've worked with and I'm glad I found them. Even though I just started using them, I have a feeling I am going to be a loyal customer for a long time. I'll return soon!
We weren't even considering the cx60 until we saw it at the Calgary auto show. Chris showed us the vehicle. He knew everything about the car and the competitors. Service was great. They gave us a good price right away.
