We recently purchased a 2018 Atlas at this location. We had the best experience at this location and out of any dealership we have ever worked with. The dealership went above and beyond to help us into a new vehicle and absolutely loved the customer service. This dealership was wonderful to work with. We had visited a different dealership previously and felt like it was lacking transparency. We then went to Southgate VW and the amount of transparency and honesty was astonishing! Both the manager and salesperson were extremely professional and straight to the point. Christian was over the top helpful with our purchase. He was the type of salesman that went to bat for us to get us the best deal. We weren’t even prepared to buy car but the deal was that good. Just recently purchased a 2019 Atlas and we are beyond happy with it so far. We have a family of 5 so it has tons of room and cargo space!! One of my favourite features is the folding chair, you can have a car seat on it and you don’t need to take it off when needing to get to the 3rd row of seats.
Not only are we happy with our vehicle, we are very pleased with everyone we dealt with at Southgate VW, always exceptional customer service!!
Southgate VW was great! We got a great car that we are happy with and it didn’t feel like the usual car sales experience. I expressed what I was looking for and they were direct and helped us find the right fit. I could tell they were trying very hard to please us as customers- they took their time to help us learn about the car, get it registered and get us a good financing deal. Very impressed.
We were uncertain about what would work best for a replacement vehicle when we met the sales consultant, Chris. He was very helpful in not only showing us the possibilities, but also helping us decide what would make us the happiest. It has been a while and we are still very happy with our decision about the lovely vehicle that we are enjoying.

Dan H. was the best salesman we could have ever had. He deserves a raise, and didn't even tell me to say that. He was fun, outgoing, responded to me incredibly frequently and at the most unlikely hours (I won't say exactly which hours because I don't want him to die of exhaustion from other people expecting the same). When we met him in person, he was unbelievably outgoing, chatty, and amusing. Exactly our kind of humour. We didn't have to push or press for things we wanted: we'd point them out and he'd figure it out without us having to ask him for them.
Additionally, what made our experience better than we ever could have expected was that someone (Mike probably, but possibly Josh, according to Dan) went to our "new" used car before we bought it and filled in the small rock chip specks with a paint pen! We'd already had money down on the car, there was no sales motive to get those tidied up, but Mike (or Josh) did it anyway.
Unbelievable, I sure hope this Volkswagen knows what gems they have. We've been to other Volkswagen dealers that have made us want to swear off ever going into another one, whereas we can't wait to go back to the Southgate Volkswagen to visit Dan another time. If we didn't live three hours away, we'd be going here with every Volkswagen issue.

Great experience picking up my new vehicle. I was working with the other two dealers in Edmonton area and a few others and Southgate staff were by far the best to work with. They listened and didn't harass me with anything that I was clear to indicate I didn't want.

Being a single woman, this is the biggest slap in the face I've ever had. My drivers side sun visor fell off in my hand with regular non aggressive use. I took it in to Southgate to be covered by warranty. I was told that it appeared that the ceiling material had been removed and someone had tampered with the wiring harness underneath and it was therefore not covered by warranty. I told them nothing like that had happened. They responded that it must have been the previous owner as I had purchased it when it had 40,000 km on it. I told them it was improbable and that I didn't believe them. Why would the previous owner remove the material from the interior of the roof and tamper with the wiring harness when it was under full warranty. It didn't make any sense. The associate responded that this wasn't the original windshield and so it probably happened then. Right, because they remove the interior roof material to replace a windshield (sarcasm intended)??? He sounded like a two year old lying. After sitting there for an hour they said they could re-attach the sun visor however, it took him an hour to diagnose the fact that he was holding the visor in his hand and it was indeed not attached to the vehicle. Therefore I had to pay 160.00 for the hour long diagnosis. The punchline. I went home and reattached the visor in two minutes. I have a ten year background in auto parts. Just thought they would want to honor their warranty. Bottom line is THEY DON'T HONOR WARRANTY'S, unless you believe whatever lie they respond with. This story is true in its entirety. Needless to say, I don't trust them with pricing on repairs. Take care.
BTW they had charged me the $160.00 for the installation. I confirmed with the sales lady that they had indeed re- installed the visor so I had no choice but to pay the fee. She responded that this was correct but she would fix it. Apparently their idea of fixing it, was ripping the visor out to the point where it was damaged. It had not been damaged prior to bringing it to the dealership.
Dealt with the dream team. Kris, Evan, and Veer. Top notch service from all of these elite professionals. Kris has been my vehicle sales expert for over ten years . There's no one in the industry that I trust more. Veer handled my purchase , and I've yet to meet a sales manager easier to deal with.👍. Evan wow you knocked it out of the park. Dan was very helpful in the sales process. He was an excellent liaison between us and the sales manager while keeping it light hearted and fun. Unfortunately, once the papers were signed for the purchase, the service got drastically worse. High pressure sales for extended warranty in the finance department, not prepared for appointments for vehicle protection causing me to wait around a great deal, and they do not call when they say they will. I would not recommend for that reason.

If you notice, the majority of the low ratings happened over a year ago. This Southgate VW Service department is by FAR the best in the city and has clearly improved their service. Norden is over-priced and unhelpful.
My first visit to Southgate (which was when I made the switch) was because my sunroof would not close. Norden told me they could get me in 2 days from now and Southgate told me to come on down and they'd squeeze me in. I mean honestly, what if it rained in the next 2 days and there's me with my sunroof wide open?
My second visit was for a headlight replacement. They took care of the issue, no problem, and completed the service in record time.
My third visit is coming up, and I anticipate great results. I phoned Southgate to see who they recommend for windshield replacement... turns out they take care of it for you! Much better than the answer I received at Norden ("Oh, we'll have to send you to another provider for that").
Completely satisfied with the friendly, efficient, customer service. Not to mention the staff are easy on the eyes.

Sometimes it’s just the little things that make a big difference. You turned what could have been a very negative situation into a positive one. Andy was very friendly & informative. I really appreciated the fact that if we had a question (running boards) that instead of just giving us an answer, he went to his manager to get the answer. I cannot express enough how phenomenal our salesman Andy is. He was so informative, kept us up to date on all issues while we were waiting for the car to be shipped to the dealer. I am 34 years old and have been buying cars, approximately 1 every 2 years and this is the smoothest transition that I have ever experienced.
