I had the AC go in a three year old Tacoma. Unfortunately I was 2 thousand km over the 60 000km and about 5 months. I noticed it last fall and didn't say anything. My beef is with Toyota Canada who would cut me zero slack. The dealership did offer a reduced price on parts. The repair was still $1100 on a fairly new vehicle.
I've dealt with honda and ford when I've had premature wear and both corporations would compromise , not Toyota Canada. They threw the dealership under the bus.
My advise would be check your Toyota over carefully at the three year/60 000km mark. Btw. The AC isn't part of the fancy checklist they provide after every service.

We have had good experience with our previous Toyota Vehicles in the past. Two 4Runners, Celica, Corolla, Paseo and Camry purchased and serviced from several Dealerships. Most were driven for over 10 years without any major problems except for some tailgate rust on my last 4Runner and normal things like tires, brakes and minor mechanical work. I like to look after my vehicle investments so I prefer Synthetic Oil and regular monitoring of vehicle driving, engine, body, fluid, air and instrument vitals.
Our purchasing adventure started by first looking at compact SUV brands like the Hyundai Santa Fe, VW Tiguan, Mitsubishi RVR, GMC Terrain, Mercedes GLK 350. My wife had a shopping list of must have features like cruise, sunroof, AC, backup camera. easy access cargo space, Etc. We then test drove a 2019 RAV4 XLE at another dealership and decided that was the ticket.
Due to the lockdown we continued our shopping on the Internet looking for a RAV4 in our price range. Having dealt with Walkerton Toyota in the past , we put our trust in them and purchased a 2017 RAV4 XLE over the phone/internet. As with every sight unseen purchase, there are always a few issues but Sarah at Walkerton Toyota treated us right and we are very happy with out new to us purchase. My wife now has much more cargo room and creature comforts than her old 99 Mazda Miata. I still like my 96 Dodge RAM 4x4 Diesel with no computers but I have to say the RAV4 is winning me over with it's modern features and quiet ride.
We are now looking forward to Post Lockdown family visits, hopefully in July/August when most of our family will have had their second shots.

Not a positive experience. I was wanting to purchase a vehicle and felt like they never really wanted or appreciated my business. My advice, put down a deposit before you even begin talking. Unprofessional and bad faith! The irony is the associate said they would do whatever they could to earn my business. Lesson learned. I will take my business elsewhere!

Had the absolute bestt experience purchasing my new truck at Walkerton Toyota! Justin Bogdon and Marijo Lamont were both incredibly friendly and helpful! I had a ton of questions, and if they didn't know the answers right away (I had some unusual questions) they found out and followed up so quickly! They really made me feel like they cared about my business and cared about ensuring I got exactly what I was looking for! Previous to visiting Walkerton Toyota I had been to a few other Toyota dealerships and have to say I was getting a bit frusterated with the lack of service; from not calling me back, to not being able to provide the services that Walkerton was able to accommodate, to mixing up the pricing. Walkerton Toyota was a breath of fresh air and I will happily be returning for all my vehicle servicing and would recommend them to everyone!!
Had our vehicle in for regular maintenance. They LOST OUR KEY. Had zero explanation, or resolution to this other than ordering a new key....
Overall very disappointed with the customer service.
I don't even care if they did good work or not, this carelessness is just ridiculous.

Walkerton Toyota! $460 an hour. I wouldn't recommend taking your vehicle there for repair work. After having my Tundra in for some recall work, upon picking it up I had every light on the dash flashing like a Christmas tree. That's even before I leave their parking lot. A speed sensor I'm told, that's after they scanned it, oh and we won't charge you for the scanning, lol, gotta love their sense of humor. The truck was perfect when I dropped it off then suddenly it developed an issue when they had it, hmm.
You're gonna love this next part.
I go in and complain, well they don't like this and give me the condescending attitude of its not our fault. Their service manager Justin, well he just laughs and tells me that the issue is corrosion and by the way, Walkerton Toyota didn't inject green corrosion into the speed sensor.
Well it gets even better.
Justin the service manager continues to tell me that they took the sensor out, checked it and found green corrosion then put it all back together. Hmm, they did this in less than an hour. If I want them to repair it the part is $145 plus labour bringing the total cost to $605. Hmm, they took it apart and put it back together in less than an hour. That's $460 an hour.
Now the truth unfolds.
Having looked online for these speed sensors I found them. A four pack delivered to my door including tax is $78 from a Canadian autoparts store. I receive the sensors and proceed to replace the broken one. Now I've never done this job before. I took the rear wheel off, found the sensor connector and unclipped the wire. I then removed the retaining bolt on the sensor, it was rusted solid, not been removed as Justin had said. After lots of wd40 it came off. Now to get the sensor out, well it was solid. More wd40 and it started moving freely, again not been removed. Alas the sensor snapped off, luckily I managed to insert a woodscrew and pull it out. Inserted the new one and put the wheel back on. I have never done this job before and from start to finish was 35 minutes with breaking it in the process.
What makes this scenario unacceptable from Walkerton Toyota.
Firstly I was lied to and secondly I was treated with less customer service than a vegan at an all you can eat salad bar. Now think about all the seniors that go to Walkerton Toyota with similar but small issues with their vehicles. Your mom, your dad, your grandparents, I would not be happy with the overcharging of parents and grandparents who know no better than to trust these highwaymen. Seniors put their trust in dealerships because many are on a fixed income.
Walkerton Toyota, you are on the lame list. In my opinion you are not an honest and customer focused organization. $460 an hour with terrible customer service is not acceptable.
I had a experience in dealing with Marijo Lamont (Business Manager) regarding an old vehicle. I must say that she is cooperative, knowledgeable, result oriented and ensures that customer is satisfied with the service. I would recommend her in dealing with any pre-owned vehicles at this place.

Being a small town dealership means Walkerton Toyota can't play the sometimes high-volume big city dealer games. They are incredibly transparent, super friendly and take pride in creating a relationship with you, which continues well after you drive off the lot. A car is just a car but they truly humanize the buying and owning experience. I highly recommend Walkerton Toyota and will continue to be a loyal customer.

I have been shopping with Walkerton Toyota since 2006. At Walkerton you feel like one of the family and when your "not happy" you tell them and they go above and beyond to make your happy! Is there something you want, but your afraid to step foot on a lot and have some high pressured salesman pressure you? Call ahead ask for Tony! tell him how much you want to spend and what you are looking for. (I don't step foot on the lot until the car I have "called ahead for" has arrived) they will bring what you want in. If you don't like it, it doesn't matter. They will make you happy!
I would never purchase a car anywhere else. The quality and durability of Toyota and the quality and actual care of this team, including service makes me, a forever Walkerton Girl!
