After having a not so great purchase attempt from another dealer, Bobs goal was to change my perspective on purchasing from a dealership and getting me into the vehicle I wanted and he did just that! I am very happy with the service I received from start to finish. I had some issues with my salesman, but once management found out, they tried their best to make sure I was taken care of and satisfied (with anything they could control)

I was looked after by some very nice people who answered any question I had. I especially liked being given the chance to see my car on the hoist and inspect the issues that needed fixing before the work was done. They also have the greatest waiting area I've ever seen. I was very pleased with my first visit.
Great product, Prices and buying experience nothing wrong with that. The false promises, extremely poor communication and dirty tactics during the post buying experience is a absolutely terrible. If you value these qualities I highly recommend going elsewhere.
I recommend Wayne Murray for sales (the best salesman ever!); Murray in the business office (extremely nice and helpful); and Richard in parts and service (very informative and professional). This is my second lease experience with Amherst Toyota and it won't be my last. The whole staff has always made me feel like family and I have always felt welcome when I set foot in the dealership! Inquired about a truck they had placed on two site advertising for little under 4300 sure 42000 dollar truck but I had bought online be mine.
Sure they put wrong price up intentionally or not sell as advertised. They quickly then changed price as well as added little disclaimer after fact. So much for paying asking price... own up to mistake.

My experience was perfect with the service and the service manager;however, when I had put the Rav 4 in for service I decided to look at a new Rav ( which I am ready to buy) and although the sales person was informative I asked him to have my Rav evaluated for a trade in .
He was to get the used car manager to look at it when it was in for service. I was in the service area for about an hour. When the Rav was serviced I then approached the sales person only to find out that the person to evaluate my vehicle had told the salesmen that he was busy with inventory. It would be my understanding that customer service comes long before an inventory check. This showed total disrespect for the customer. I had asked why he did not look at my vehicle during the 1 hour it was in for service and the answer was he was busy with inventory. I'm not sure why the customer didn't come first. I normally would have not said anything but since I had another appointment to get to I couldn't stay to wait ( for how long) for the person to finish the inventory and get to my evaluation of the car.
I have had 3 toyota Rav's and had bought another vehicle from them but this incident has made it clear that they don't want my business,thus I will not service or buy a new toyota from them. Making a customer feel good about purchasing a new vehicle should always be the TOP priority.

Needed some minor information an an older Prius and the lady was more than helpful! The young mechanic, after hearing some if conversation came over and explained a few things about 'not' towing a hybrid and ended up saving the day for my friend Yvon. Without him Yvon would have towed his hybrid on a dolly ( as his salesman at another Toyoto dealer said he could) and this would have ended up costing him a pile of money! Thankyou to the great people at Amherst Toyoto!!
Incredibly slow getting recall work done, over six months waiting now and I’m starting to worry about how safe it is to drive my truck as the problem is getting worse and worse. But all I get is radio silence. Know plenty of people who have bought trucks here only to try to trade them in a year later but get insultingly low offers. If you don’t look like you have money, don’t expect a sales person to approach you or be remotely helpful.
Today we bought a new car at Amherst Toyota and we could not be happier. What a wonderful experience and wonderful people!! We were met with smiles from everyone and sincere handshakes. Went to get my car serviced due to emergency, and had one tube replaced. Simple, right?
These guys forgot to put in the second clamp and the hose blew off in a drive-thru in the middle of the night. I heard a big POP and smoke puffed out so thick that I had to leave without my stuff. Had that happened when, say driving on the highway, the results could potentially have been much more damaging, and certainly much more dangerous. Not impressed.
Also, the fact that they broke my break line and expected me to pay for it. Regardless if my car is old or not, my breaks were in complete working condition. When I went in and I expected for them not to be breaking my car to make more business for them.
On a positive note, we had excellent customer service and they were very polite and kept us happy the entire time we waited for our car to serviced.
