Once again, despite being promised the vehicle would be ready in 1 hour 10 minutes for an oil change and mounting winter tires, the vehicle was not ready for over two hours. The staff were friendly and courteous but service regularly takes significantly longer than promised, even allowing for COVID-19 processes.
** Update. Trans Canada Nissan responded to the 3-star version of this review quickly and convinced me that they would take measures to avoid a repeat of this issue.

I love going to TranCanada Nissan... I used to go to Economy Wheels, but no longer.... they make me wait far too long and the added bonus I get from TCN is they wash my truck... absolutely LOVE that feature. Then of course there is Jason Robinson, the service Manager... what an amazing guy...
I know he is super busy with a million customers all at the same time, however, when you are speaking to him and discussing your issue, he gives you 110% attention... it’s like you are the only one he is dealing with that day.

I have had incredible experiences with Nissan as a whole. I've experienced dealerships whose main goal is to find something wrong with your car and then charge you maximum $$$ to fix it. TC Nissan has always been honest and kept their repair costs minimized to ensure fairness and customer satisfaction. On top of that, you aren't getting after market parts. My last experience cost me only 2/3 of the quoted cost because they found ways to eliminate cost from my final bill. I keep going back to Nissan as the cost of vehicles is generally lower than other brands in the same class and they've always been very reliable. TC deals with their customers fairly and like you wish to be dealt with. You have to impress to get my loyalty an I'm a very loyal customer and that says a lot especially after so many years.

My concerns of a potentially large bill for side door issues were alleviated with a little elbow grease. I liked receiving a text shortly after dropping off my van to keep communication seamless during service, and my van looks great since they washed it as well.

I chose Mark because he sold me the Versa Note in 2015, He was very obliging and knowledgeable, not pushy, and made the experience of purchasing a new vehicle enjoyable. For those reasons that is why I deliberately chose him again to help me decide which vehicle to buy. This will be my last vehicle as I will be retiring in the near future, and, I wanted a car that I know will last and one I will enjoy driving. It is no surprise Mark is the leading salesman at Nissan, because of his knowledge and his ability to deal with the public as if he was a long time friend. By far some of the worst customer service I've ever received. The issues started when I was buying my car about a year and a half ago but didn't deal with it at the time.

I went in to buy my second Sentra, my sales guy was very friendly and helpful but it was clear he didn't have much control over what was going on after I signed the papers. I put a deposit on a car that was not on the lot but was promised to be there within 2 weeks. I signed the papers and gave the deposit and then from there received 0 updates as to where the car was. After a few weeks I finally called to check in and no one knew anything that was going on. They would say "the car will be here any day now, we will call as soon as it arrives". This continued for weeks. Every time I called it was impossible to get ahold of anyone. When I wasn't receiving any information I asked to speak to managers, owners, anyone who would have answers. Again, they knew nothing and didn't even pretend to care. Talked to me as if what was going on wasn't a big deal. Eventually I said, I don't want the car, give me my deposit back. That wasn't an option. They told me they aren't sure where the car is but that there was another one coming from out east in a different colour. I settled and said fine I'd take it. Still, no car and no news. After almost 2 months of fighting with them, I received a car (not the one I asked for) and they "apologized for the inconvenience with a year of oil changes". Hardly acceptable for the ignorant manager and owners I had to deal with along the way.

The service department is extremely friendly and helpful but the last 3 times I've been in they have been at least 2 hours behind. I could probably handle that because they are so easy to get along with but the business in general is so awful I will never return here or recommend it to anyone.

Went into the dealership yesterday with the full intention of purchasing a new car. My entire family has owned Nissan cars and I was excited to get my second one.

Dave McGowan made sure that I will never buy from this dealership or the brand again.

Mark was supposed to be the person I was seeing about the car and Dave jumped in. Fine, I understood that Mark was busy and I didn’t mind having Dave answer a couple of questions. Which is where the problem started. I made it very clear, that I was purchasing the car, not my male partner. That I needed certain features, which were ignored. Then Dave continued to talk over me on the test drive only talking to my partner, dismissing every single concern or question I had.
So after the uncomfortable test drive and clear sexism, I still decided that I was going to buy the car, because I did like it and I didn’t really care who sold it to me.

Here’s where it got worse. I explained that the car again was going in my name, that I made the money in the relationship BUT HE CONTINUED TO TALK TO MY MALE PARTNER!
He brought up leasing which I told him I didn’t want to do, because I like owning my cars... and he proceeds to explain the entire leasing process like I don’t know what I want. I tell him no, I’m interested in only financing and he AGAIN explains leasing because I’m likely to change my mind about a car in a few years to the next “prettiest” one. Are you kidding me!? I’ve done my research and new all the safety features and specs of the car BETTER than Dave who continued had to double check because he was unsure.
Anyways, again I say no to leasing that I want to get the process started for financing AND AGAIN he brings up leasing!
I looked at my partner and we left.

I am so disgusted about how I was treated. I was clear with what I wanted right from the beginning. Had all the documents and paperwork ready to buy. But after being infantilized and being ignored throughout most of the sales experience I will never let anyone I know buy from here. Just awful!

Jason explanations regarding my air conditioning system to me were clear and understandable as I am not really mechanically orientated. I have dealt with Jason on many occasions during the last five years, and he continues to keep me well informed, and he is very easy to talk to. He has always explained mechanical matters to me is a simple way that I can understand. Jason is an easy to get along person yet has always been very professional and is highly customer satisfaction minded. I certainly see Jason as a great asset to your Nissan facility.

I received friendly and honest service from Troy the sales representative. However I noticed that the alternator had a very loud tick noise and was informed that since it charges fully it met requirements for safety. You would hope after spending over $11000 on a used vehicle it should be good to go with no worries. you shouldn't have to take it upon yourself to buy a new part not even a week after picking up the car. Just ordered a new alternator online for $400.

Follow up: installed the new alternator for free but still waiting to see if they will reimburse me for the cost of the new alternator I bought for them to install.

I'm not usually a big fan of dealer service departments, but my experience here was different. Very friendly and accommodating service, even tho I arrived without an appointment and not even driving a Nissan. They helped me extricate my elderly Irish Setter from the hatch back of my Infiniti, right around quitting time on a Friday. They did so with pleasure and at no cost in the end; what's not to like? (The problem was an over heated hatch relay switch)

I was so impressed, I made an appointment the following week for some service issues. Trans Canada staff were prompt, fair and reasonable. They could have easily made the cost of the solution far higher, but did not. If I lived in Peterborough year round, I'd make this my dealer of choice. Even though I ended up getting little more than an oil change and some minor work done here on this occasion, Ian referred me to an Infiniti dealer for what I would have never guessed to be a much larger warrantable repair. I even got a freshly cleaned car back. Thank you and well done!

One of the best customer service experiences I can recall. On my way up from Toronto I realized there was something loose underneath my Maxima. I stopped in an the Service desk. They immediately were able to get my car in and onto the hoist. In less than 15 minutes they had the problem fixed and I was on my way again. What a relief. I was expecting my problem to be costly and take hours to fix. I was pleasantly surprised and then some.

Long story shortened....on our way to the cottage last Thursday, truck fully loaded including a canoe and a cat starts to make a horrid screeching sound just outside of Peterborough. We're from Toronto and had no idea where to go so we headed into town and found Trans Canada Nissan. The truck was test driven, hoisted and diagnosed in about a half and hour. Front brakes (rotors/pads/ and seized calipers) were shot (and I do mean shot...we have the photo's to prove it ) and needed to be replaced.
They put a great mechanic on it right away (sensing our angst ) and we were on our way to the cottage as soon as was humanly possible. Every single person we encountered at this dealership from the owner to the cashier could not have been more pleasant and helpful. Not the start to a vacation we wanted but it could have been a lot worse had we not been helped out by everyone here. Our sincere thanks to Paul, Steve, Chuck, Jason and anyone else who's name I sadly don't remember. You have an amazing team and it shows in the great work you do.
