The weather turned bad and they were calling for a lot of snow the next day and I had a lot of things to do . Knowing that traffic would be slow and I had to travel from one end of the city to the other end I decided to cancel my scheduled car viewing with a salesman and make it for another day . The salesman was very rude on the phone and turned from Mr. Nice guy to a dick head in a second . I never rebooked with them and will never go back to that dealership again

The dealership itself is nice, you have a lot of cars to choose from.
But the Sales Representative that I dealt with is kind of annoying.
Went there earlier this morning, after my test drive. He said "I'll get you this deal right now."
I told him that I will need some time to discuss this with my parents and to think about it.
Felt like he desperately wanted me to buy this car.
I don't like when someone rushes me!
I highly doubt that I'll ever come back to this dealership.

After a number of mix-ups, mistakes and time wasted (for me and for Vickar!) to fix our air conditioning - the experience was seemingly headed toward an upleasant and expensive outcome. The agreement to purchase a new vehicle with the salesman was unable to be fulfilled by financing. My lease returned vehicle’s cosmetic damage was to be “absorbed” if I bought the newer version at an agreed upon price. Financing told me that Nissan could not finance the negative equity and asked for an additional $3000. The result, I returned home with my leased vehicle and will just buy it out. I can fix the dents and scuff mark.

I would definitely recommend this dealership, whether you are from Winnipeg or not!
I am actually from South-Western Ontario and I was searching for a very particular vehicle, which happened to be at Vickar Nissan in Winnipeg! From the beginning of the process until the very last step everyone involved was incredibly friendly, helpful and genuinely cared to ensure it worked out.
Purchasing a vehicle from a different Province is not the easiest thing to do, but they made it an enjoyable experience. Even when circumstances beyond their control complicated the matter - nothing to do with the dealership themselves, rather the freight carrier - they went out of their way to rectify the issue even though they didn't necessarily have to and had it done in a timely manner.
So, to Chris, Evan and Kelly - I deeply appreciate everything you did for me! 5 Star Service in my opinion!

I have purchased 3 vehicles with them and since they changed to Vicker, everything has gone down hill. 3 vehicles all with extended warranty. Most recently we were on a road trip with our Rogue and the AC started just to spill water all over the floors and just shoot vapour. We got back into the city and took it to the dealership. We were just over our REGULAR KM warranty and well within the extended warranty they wouldn't do it. They charged us $700 to replace the climate controls. Problem still persists so we find out from somewhere else the issues is as simple as a clogged drain! Hosed by the dealership for $700 on an easy fix anywhere else. Calls don't get returned ,messages are ignored. Just a joke. Go elsewhere and save yourself the Hassel.

Can't say it was a good experience. Person who took the call did not document the issues correctly. Left out pertinent information about the vehicle and issues and also put down the wrong symptoms. Wasn't charged anything as nothing ended up being done. Staff need better training on the phones and documenting customer issues properly.

Hi Richard, thank you for the 1-star rating! Is there anything we can do to earn 5 stars from you?"

If they had taken the time to read my review they could clearly see what I had written to make the experience better. Instead it makes me wonder if all the staff working there have issues reading and understanding what is going on. On top of that the response has no number to call or email address to respond to. How can they run a business this way. Only brought the car back to them as that is where we bought it from. As they are not close or convenient for us to go to for work on the car may take it to the one that is closer to us instead. If it wasn't for warranty purposes that we brought it there for I don't think I can recommend anyone else to go there at this time.

Poor customer service and lack of knowledge by technicians. I sunk a lot of money into this dealership. They gave my keys back and said the problem was still there, they didn't know what it was and couldn't fix it, but the normal shop rate applied and they worked on it all day - no help or discount considering they did nothing for me. Multiple bad experiences during my time owning a Nissan. I would not recommend buying a Nissan (Titan), and I certainly wouldn't get my vehicle serviced here. Better customer service at the McPhillips location, but still very expensive service.

I took my car in for a safety, and after waiting for an hour and a half the mechanic told me they decided not to conduct the safety. He told me he did a “visual inspection”, and that my car wouldn’t pass based on that alone.

While I didn’t have to pay for that “visual inspection”, I did waste my afternoon waiting for it. On top of that, the items he said would have failed the safety, were completely within the safety standards for Manitoba.

They said my windshield wasn’t the proper grade, but as it turns out, the mechanic must not have seen the factory windshield sticker that clearly states that it is AS-1 grade, exactly what it needs to be. They also said my tail lights wouldn’t pass. But again, the mechanic didn’t do a very thorough inspection, because if he opened the back hatch and actually read the markings on the tail lights, he would have seen that they were clearly up to spec.

So the next day I called and talked to someone in their service department and told them about this. They didn’t seem to care what so ever, and all they said was “well, it should have passed.”

All in all, I’m disappointed with the service I received. I had booked an appointment for a safety, which they never completed, and I was given mis-information about my vehicle. I would advise you to stay away from Vickar Nissan if you need a vehicle safetied.

Car buying experience was excellent! The team at Vickar Nissan was nothing but professional ! Ryan, the sales manager, was eager to earn my business right from the start and was confident he could earn my business. I traded my 2010 Nissan Maxima at a fair trade in price.

I toured the service bays prior to buying my new 2017 Nissan Maxima! The drive through oil change bay is very convenient and similiar to the no appointment oil change shops! You can wait in your car as the work is being done.

Once the price and extended Nissan factory warranty were paid, the team took over preparing my new car for delivery. The extended warranty offered at Vickar is from Nissan Canada and covers new Nissan replacement factory parts not rebuilt or after market as other warranties offer. My five year 120000 km warranty is extensive.

If someone was considering buying any car brand other than Nissan, I would suggest you compare Nissan's extended warranty first! The warranty alone could persuade you to look at a Nissan product. Kelly in finance took a lot of time to go over the warranty answering all my questions! The warranty even allows you money to fight a speeding ticket for example!

The car was delivered with a full tank of fuel, a nice added touch, then Phill walked me through the vehicle personally showing me how to operate all the computerized technology from Apple car play to managing the Bluetooth iPhone connection and operation!

Would I recommend buying a car from this dealership? I definitely would recommend Vickar Nissan as they sold me a 2017 Nissan Maxima, an incredible car, with five years or 120000km worry free driving. It also included a three year oil change and three year warranty on tires and rims!

In conclusion I would like to thank Carson the salesman who sold me the Maxima! I hope you enjoy your Nissan product as much as I have done over the years!

EDITED Feb 19 2018....OH NO RUST on NEW 2017 MAXIMA

It is now February 19, 2018, after enjoying my brand new 2017 Maxima for four months I noticed about 15 rust spots developing in the trunk drain of my car.....easy to see since it is white! I was extremely disappointed after spending $40,000 plus for my new car ! The first five pics below were taken just before the dealership put clay bar over the rust and touched it up with touch up paint on Dec 20, 2017!

The service at Vickar Nissan was great except I did not agree with the repair job proposed! It sounded like a job to cover the rust spots. Two auto body shops I spoke to prior to taking it back to Vickar Nissan stated the rust would come back and suggested I get a new car! I gave the dealership and the service manager Glen (who said not to worry we will look after you) a chance to correct what they said was an accumulation of rail dust from car transport ! It was only suppose to be superficial rust!

Last week Feb. 10, 2018, I noticed rust returned in a few places ! I hope it will be painted and fixed properly when I take it back to Vickar Nissan this week to have them assess it again! Nissan Canada was contacted in December 2017 when rust first noticed and I was told to deal with the dealership! I love my 2017 Maxima and would still recommend the vehicle depending on how this rust situation is handled! The last two photos below were taken Feb 2018 ! I hope this is an isolated rust incident and not a manufacturing problem!
