How did we do?

Absolutely useless service department. Called in to request a quote for command start and was told it’s approximate $800 over the phone. After booking a 8.00am service and waiting over an hour n half to get a simple oil change (which is ridiculous considering we booked first thing in the morning to have it done asap), we requested a quote in writing for the installation of command start and the price has magically gone up $300 and is now $1100, how are you verbally giving one price and then increasing it in person? If you don’t know what the cost is don’t provide quotes over the phone.

One of the best places to get a new car! I couldn’t imagine choosing another location.

The family that runs this joint gives such care and attention to all their customers, no matter how needy we (Ie especially) can be.

Thanks team!

I appreciate that Raman and his team are willing to work on my older Volkswagen when some other service place are reluctant to.

We used Kia for a rental car during our trip in Whitehorse. The staff has been very friendly and accomodating with their communications with us. However, I took a star off as we’ve been promised winter tires, when the tires are really all-season tires with the snow option - not very optimal during December in Whitehorse. Would've been nice if they'd highlighted this when we've asked.

Amazing dealership with great staff and owner/management. They are fully supportive and will do anything to help if there's an issue. They know what they're doing and won't try to rip you off either. The techs do good work and you can trust them with your cars. Great place to rent a car at a great price too!

2 months later and 3300km I am still loving my 2023 Kia Seltos.

Raman and Chris were pleasant to deal with and answered any questions I had. I went in knowing what I wanted and walked out satisfied with the deal made.

Thank you Whitehorse Kia

Like another buyer on here, I was also mis-sold a remote start vehicle. But we got a step further, ours didn't have the app functionality either, so we quite literally were sold a car that we said needed remote start, that had zero capability of this by default. Kia did make this right after complaining to Kia Canada.

Come winter that year, the car doesn't start. The battery wasn't dead initially (it was by the time kia saw it). It was the starter motor. It had been parked for 4-5 hours in town whilst I went to work. Came out, and it would not start. It was not possible to jump the vehicle either, largely because the starter was frozen. It was towed into the Kia the next day who defrosted it and then gave it back to me. The thing is, a starter motor shouldn't be freezing. The dealership was not interested in entertaining that perhaps the starter was faulty since it's getting frozen so easily, moisture must be getting inside it.

Come the spring/summer this year (we bought it towards the end of summer initially, so we didn't need to use the aircon), and would you believe it, the air con is completely empty. They check for leaks, cannot find any. So they refill it, and recheck, still cannot find a leak. I am then told that the new coolant they use leaks out over winter due to being thinner and there is nothing they can do as Kia Canada will not address the problem.

Beginning of November at minus 14 outside, the starter motor has frozen again, meaning I am not able to use this car in any manner once more. It is also plugged in, to add. Battery is OK, and the car cannot be jump started.

I have once more complained to Kia Canada headquarters, so hopefully this vehicle can be made slightly less useless in the future. Kia need to do better, and accept when something is not right with a vehicle, and fix it.

EDIT:
Kia Canada have responded, largely ignoring every issue raised. I've since contacted the dealership again and have been told the starter motor will be replaced under warranty now, but there is nothing they are willing/able to do with the air conditioning leaking out over winter.

I will be leaving this review at 1 stars until we have a car that works in the winter months. Whilst I don't put blame onto the dealership, the service we've experienced as a whole has been generally fairly poor. Yes, they've corrected one problem, but it should never have been one in the first place, nor should we have been ignored for a month in the process. I also have to drop the rating due to Kia's policies that are entirely anti-customer.

Once our car is actually working properly, I'll adjust the review as appropriate.

After getting the shaft with some used car places (asking msrp for used) I gave Kia a call. No inflated prices like some other dealers. They got me set up with a new vehicle fast as possible with the current shortages. They even came in on a long weekend since I'm out of town to let me pick it up. So far best car purchase experience I've had. Thanks.

We purchased a Kia Sportage last week and we could not be happier with not only the car but also the service that was provided. We had reached out to several dealerships and were told by many that nothing was available for months. We were in an emergency situation and needed a vehicle quickly and Chris and Raman worked incredibly hard to ensure that our needs were met and we got a car that we loved. We never felt pressured or pushed into upgrading or add ons and we felt the price was very fair. Chris really made us feel like if we ever had an issue that he would be there for us. I highly recommend Chris and Raman and the team at Kia!

I bought a slightly used Carnaval with a chipped windshield. They told us they'd replace it. Myself and my wife have called multiple times, each time they said they'd order it. We have had 0 follow ups and still no windshield. Its been almost 6 months.

A couple of days ago, I drove by and noticed a new EV6 sitting on the lot, since it was close to the weekend, I decided I would stop in the next week and take a look. I stopped in yesterday and the salesperson was on the phone, waited for 10 minutes with no one asking if they could help and eventually left. Once I got home, I checked on the website and the vehicle is listed as new inventory with pricing and options (on the Whitehorse Kia website) Went in this morning and the vehicle is now parked in the showroom all cleaned up and ready to go. Salesperson was available and I asked if I could look at purchasing the vehicle and was told no, they are taking prepaid orders only and there is about a 18 month wait....I had the same response a couple of years ago when looking at a Telluride that was parked in the lot (that time was told someone might be buying it so they would call me and let me know either way, they didn't). The baiting is annoying and is part of why people hate going in to a car dealership and would prefer to directly purchase from a manufacturer.
I will not be making an attempt to shop at this dealer again.

Feels like they are not interested in selling their used stock. They have a car for sale, but don't want to show you it and don't seem interested at all in making a sale. Left feeling like I wasted my time.

Shout out to Chris at Whitehorse Kia for being helpful in the purchase of my first brand new vehicle. He was very honest and up front about the whole process. I thought it would all be more stressful, Chris made sure to keep me in the loop and up to date about the arrival of my vehicle. I will definitely be recommending Whitehorse Kia!

I feel completely taken advantage of. I purchased a brand new car from them and one of my only major requirements on my vehicle was that it had command start, which they assured me it did. Once I bought and paid for the car they told me that the command start was on an App on my phone - and that is the only way to use the automatic car start. I've had the car for a few months and the app is absolutely useless...it takes 20 minutes or longer every time to load, and I've even been locked out and it would not unlock my car leaving me without a car for 2 days and eventually we had to use a coat hanger to get in my car which caused damage to the door.
I called and spoke to the manager requesting that I be given what they told me was included in the sale - the remote start - like wad discussed - installed and they told me the reason that it wasn't installed is because they gave me $1,000 off my car. That was never once said that it was in lieu of a remote car starter. I feel completely taken advantage of and now I'm stuck with this useless app on this brand new car when it was literally the only thing I requested.
I would love for a manager or owner to call me and make this right.
Unfortunately when I spoke to them, they said I could get a discount on a remote starter.. but ultimately I would have to pay for it and it would be around $700-800.

Sales people should be ethical in their dealings with customers. They need to make this right.

I recently visited and took my car to Whitehorse Kia, and now it is time for me to give my review. Customer service was overall great, did not have a big problem with it, however, I wish they were a bit more chatty and explanatory while communicating. At times while talking i felt like i had to take the words out of their mouth with a hook. Now speed. They were quite fast with fixing the car, i needed my timing belt to be replaced i went there told them and they were happy to do that. They ordered the specific part required and soon they gave me a call to schedule a time. On the day i had to bring my car, they took it without a problem and on the same day gave me a call back saying they have done the job. When i went to collect my car, i made the payment of almost $800 and we went on our ways. As for the reliability of the fixing, time will tell. But from driving it home, I believe they have done a good job. (If anything changes in the upcoming months, I will be sure to rewriting my review) A little bonus they currently have there is you can get a FREE 2021 calendar! It isn't a Kia on, however it's a Subaru calendar.
