I am incredibly hesitant but find it necessary to share my experience.
I went to Lauria Hyundai-Port Hope with the idea of building a trusting relationship with a car dealership that I could continue for years to come. I shared this up front with all those I spoke to. When I decided on the vehicle I desired I also asked about leasing and how exactly that would work. I decided leasing was what I wanted.
Two days later, I get a call and I'm told there is a discrepancy with my credit. I told them there is no way that can be true. They said, they will look again and try to dig a little deeper after me giving them insight to my credit history.
A few hours later the same day I received another call from them stating that my credit is in tact but I have no comparative payment history. I was told I would need a co-signer or a $16000 down-payment. Or I could finance toward ownership. That by financing the vehicle they can use different avenues in finding me lender. So, I greed to move forward with what I felt was my only option/choice. Within a half hour later they found a bank that would cover the necessary loan. They said, they would call me within two days with further information as what the exact payment would be and more info. on when I expect to take possession of the vehicle of my choosing.
Two days went by and no call.
I decided at that point I would shop elsewhere.
Guess what❓
Within a day I was completely approved for leasing for an amount that equal to the Top trim Palisade I was attempting to buy at Lauria Hyundai-Port Hope.
I felt as though I was being trivialize after being up front with them as the type of relationship I was hoping to have with a car dealership.
I sent an email to Lauria Hyundai asking them to STOP all efforts in securing me vehicle because I'm shopping elsewhere and I really want to do leasing.
Suddenly, a day later I'm approved for leasing.
I felt like I was being conned.
We all make mistakes and I hope they learn from theirs.

This was my second time buying a vehicle from Derek at Lauria (Sonata for me and now a Santa Fe for my wife). I went back because my first dealing with him was great. I have never met a more rude or arrogant human being. If this is how he talks to customers how are they still in business. Mr Bud Lauria needs to take note. I purchased a new 2020 Hyundai Elantra from Lauria Hyundai a few days ago, and although I had my issues with the dealership, I cannot say enough about my consultant, Richard Aiken.

Mr. Aiken was crucial in assisting me in getting a new vehicle, and made himself useful in every step of the process. From doing various calculations, to recommending cost efficient options for me considering both leasing and financing a vehicle. He is incredibly smart in his position, and work diligently to ensure I had the best experience while looking for a vehicle. I cannot say enough about how hard he worked throughout the process, while not haggling and treating me like a human being. I visited multiple other Hyundai dealerships, and while they treated me like a number, Richard wanted the best for me.

Going forward I will be taking any business I have to Mr. Aiken, and I will be recommending any of my family or friends to visit him at Lauria Hyundai.

I called Lauria Hyundai because my wife and I were interested in seeing a Hyundai Palisade. We spoke to a gentleman by the name of Shane Hyland he said he would have one available for us to view and test drive when we came.
When we arrived at the dealership we met Shane, he was very nice and was very knowledgeable about the Palisade. We were in a bit of a hurry because we had an appointment at another dealership to check out a different car. After taking the other car for a drive we liked the Palisade much better. I emailed Shane and asked for another appointment to have a better look at the car. When my wife and I arrived at the dealership the Palisade was in there service bay because rain was expected we were able to go over the car in better detail and take it for a better test drive. After the test drive my wife and I were sold. Marco is the Financing and warranty guy he was very accommodating to the needs we have in terms of warranty and additional coverage.
Both Shane Nd Marco were very pleasant and professional people to deal with and I would recommend anyone to see these gentlemen if they are in the market for a new vehicle.

This dealership is just amazing! I originally dealt with this dealer after seeing an advertisement for another vehicle on Facebook that seemed to fit the right specs for my needs. It was a vehicle I had made a decision on for sometime now after visiting local dealerships in my area and was planning on acquiring. Unfortunately due to my situation at the time of inquiry I did not qualify to obtain this vehicle through financing means however because I needed a vehicle for work Derek and Yvonne managed to work on some numbers for me with the bank and got me eventually approved for a 2017 Accent Hatchback. I am very happy with my purchase and even though the process took some time due to the pandemic, they have delivered exceptional service in every single interaction by outlining expectations beforehand in each step and for that I give a special shout out to Yvonne, she has been incredibly patient with me during the financing process and couldn't be more happy with her positive attitude and demeanor.

We have been to Lauria 2 times with our 2011 Santa Fe. Both times we were treated with respect from everyone there. My 2 year old was with me and was getting restless one of the ladies that work there walked over and put cartoons on for her. They offered coffee and water We are in Trenton And closer to Belleville but will never deal with them again under warranty the main computer went. It was over $1000. The car sat there because they would have a client (we bought used from a used car lot). Who was more important I guess and let the car sit. We get the car back and it wouldn’t start. The service manager argued with us that we had to pay them $200 to program the key. I will never go there again. But Lauria Hyundai we will be back to you again There are not going lose us as clients

This is an updated review. I had commented, last week, that I wasn't particularly happy with my visit to Lauria as, after driving there from another city, I didn't see a salesperson and just left. However, it wasn't more than an hour or two later that the manager, Gabe, responded here on Google (something that a lot of businesses sadly overlook/fail to do -- to their own detriment) apologizing for the less than stellar experience, and asking me to call him. I did call him and after our conversation he asked me to come and see Derek, at least test drive the vehicle(s) I'm interested in, and let them try to make things right.

So I did return, and met with Derek, drove the 2019 Elantra (a fantastic car), and was very happy. Derek, alone, spent the better part of 2 hours with me.

I'm happy that I returned and bought a vehicle at Lauria. I do feel like they did everything they could to get me the most car for my budget.

Weeks into a negotiation, also with other dealers and received a pretty decent quote from one in Toronto. Sent Lauria the quote, and they tell me it’s a good quote and won’t be able to beat it. Great communication with the sales rep but fell short on following through.

My only complaint about this model is that there is no CD player built into it. I never noticed till I pulled into my driveway.
