We had a very negative experience with Langley Hyundai. They promised us a dealer installed back up camera upon delivery. When we arrived to pick up car there was no camera although I called and checked with our sales person; Tyler the day before. They asked for a day to get it all set up and after chasing them for three days they reneged on it. Judging by the overall experience we had it is my opinion that the unprofessional & unscrupulous conduct is a standard operating procedure for Langley Hyundai.

I recently purchased a Hyundai Tucson from Langley Hyundai. What a great experience! The gentleman I got the pleasure to work with is Asher. Asher is knowledgeable, helpful, patient and very easy to work with. He explained everything thoroughly, printed the documents for me to take home and look over. There was no high pressure sales tactics here and everything was transparent. I also had the pleasure of working with Mandy in the finance department. Mandy explained everything clearly, went through options available to me, patiently answered all of my questions. She made sure I understood everything that was on the purchase agreement. I also met the Sales Manager Tom, another very friendly person! By far the best experience I've had buying a vehicle thanks to Asher, Mandy and Tom! We were extremely satisfied with our purchase of our 2020 Hyundai Tucson. Jeff was very friendly and attentive despite it being a busy Saturday. We never felt neglected or unsure and he made feel like we were a priority. He answered all of our questions, was very knowledgeable, funny, and gave us great options that work for our family. He made the whole experience of buying my first vehicle very comfortable. He treated us in a friendly way and didn’t push a sale or make us feel like it was all business. The dealership had a great selection and I ended up buying a vehicle I hadn’t previously considered as it worked perfect for our family. He took the time to give us quotes on the monthly payments on 2 vehicles we had narrowed it down to and was very patient while we made our choice. He took the time to show us each feature in the vehicle and how it worked (even helped set up the Apple car play). We had an equally great experience with Kirsten that helped us out with the financing. She was very knowledgeable and also made the experience way more comfortable than expected when dealing with a purchase so important. She gave us all of our options and answered all questions we had and was so nice. The lady that helped us out with the registration and insurance did a great job as well. I am an insurance broker myself and she handled everything exactly as she should have but also made it feel very easy and smooth. Everyone was professional but very personable at the same time. We brought our family members with us that have been to many dealerships previously and they were very impressed with the service we got and said that is exactly why Hyundai was a great choice. My parents also bought a vehicle from Langley Hyundai a couple years ago and they were treated equally great as well. Everyone else that I have spoken to has been as satisfied as we were. They definitely focused on the customer experience and I think that is the most important and what stood out most to us. All of my expectations of a dealership were completely proven wrong here. I would 100% recommend this dealership to anyone considering a Hyundai.

The service I received for my car recall was totally fine. No complaints. However, I was really disturbed by one employee who absolutely disregarded physical distancing in a situation that was totally avoidable. The employee just walked no more than two feet behind me when I was sitting in the waiting room waiting for my car. I saw appropriate signs about physical distancing, but clearly this employee did not care to follow sensible safety requirements. Very unfortunate.

Didn't leave a review last year when it took almost 2 months for someone to call and ask "if I had been called yet" about my stereo replacement being in, but this week had a more disappointing experience.

Brought my car in for a shudder/check engine light issue. Was told I would pay a diagnostic fee if the issue was deemed not to be covered under warranty. They incorrectly diagnosed the problem as needing a "software upgrade" and I took the car home only to have a continued issue.

Made arrangements for the second time in a week to bring my car in. This time they found 2 ignition coils needed replacing (under warranty). They also recommended I change the spark plugs as soon as possible (not under warranty).

When I picked up my car the second time, I was charged a diagnostic fee because of the spark plug recommendation... Despite them having found 2 different issues covered under warranty and failing to diagnose the problem the first time they ran the test (causing me to come in twice during my work week, arrange alternate transportation twice, and drive on bad ignition coils longer than necessary).

I asked for clarification on why I'd be charged a fee despite all this. Got a vague answer about the spark plug recommendation. Not much you can do but pay it, but super disappointed and won't be returning here.

I needed a new car for a while now but dreaded the whole idea of shopping around, researching, analyzing and deciding so I took my time. When it finally came to it, I had visited 6 dealerships and have been talking to countless sales reps. Most of them trying to make sure that I take their deal there and then. I finally went to Langley Hyundai and was very impressed at how the team worked together to get me what I wanted. Brad was very professional and very nice to talk to. When I said I will take their offer away to think about it, they were very gracious and patient. He made sure that the whole buying experience was seamless, even staying later when I said I was going to be late for the appointment just to make sure that I was looked after. Well, this has been a disappointing experience but I guess what they say about used car salesmen is true. My cousin and my father purchased a used car from Langley Hyundai about 3 months ago. About a week ago I found out that while financing the car, they were lead to believe that they needed to purchase an extended warranty in order to secure financing. Upon finding out about this I spoke with a finance manager at the dealership and they basically made accusations of buyer's remorse (even though I am not the buyer, I was just hoping to get this scam rectified). Basically, I want them to cancel the warranty and they have decided they would rather not. The warranty itself is almost a third of the price of the car and likely quite a nice commission for the finance office and dealership so I can imagine why they will not return it.

My cousin is a recent immigrant and needs the car for work (tough enough to get a job as an immigrant these days). My father is quite old and not really in his prime mentally anymore. Both easy targets for high pressure sales tactics. Sad to see this is the reality what we had to deal with but I guess that's why they warn you about used car salesmen. Buyer beware.

October 12 update.
I have now had two service related visits. One at this location in Langley and one out in Calgary.
Both were positive. I have come to expect deplorable service from having had several new vehicles and being accustomed to Dodge Ram and Volkswagen, but so far Hyundai treats there customers reasonably well. They most recently installed a set of winter tires and tow hitch plus all season mats. The pricing can not be beat and the service was terrific. They were able to bend to my schedule, and offered a free shuttle service for around town while I waited. The jobs were completed on time, and the car came back washed. There wasn't anything magical, they just seem to treat there customers like they want repeat buisness. Also 2 months in I still enjoy the palisade immensely.

I had such a nice experience with the service department,great customer service.UNFORTUNATELY I TRIED TO BUY A VEHICLE WHILE MY CAR WAS SERVICED,sales person was friendly and polite but when I meet the general manager who introduce himself as Adam everything deteriorated. The general manager has quite an attitude problem and deceptive sales tactics seem to be his specialty. The guy kept contradicting himself from on question to another while insisting on being pushy and rude. I decided to shop around and see what other dealers had to offer and am glad I did. I ended up purchasing at Hyundai in Surrey and will never deal with these guys again.

Overall not bad. Great deal on the price of the car and trade in. Complications occurred with the new sales rep not communicating properly the information relayed by the sales manager, that was very frustrating. Also, the sales rep needed a stronger knowledge base of this vehicles functions, he was at a 60%. The sales rep should really know all the features on this vehicle and not have to get back to me all the time about how they worked. That being said, the staff were friendly and stuck to our time lines as far as delivery. I'd recommend this vehicle for our family members with children that need a larger SUV.

My friend bought a brand new vehicle at Langley Hyundai. Like most people would be, she was excited to have done so. However, she was given a car with damaged accessories, adhesive residue on the hood and was deceived at time of writing the deal. She made the sales associate and manager aware of the situation right away. After showing up at the dealership a couple days after and being treated disrespectfully, she wrote a negative review which she was asked to take down being offered gas money and oil changes. She refused to accept the bribes so her refund was stalled. Unbeknownst to her, I posted a negative review, which she was asked to see that it was taken down or she wouldn’t get her cheque. Seeing that she was stressed and offended by the way the issues were being dealt, I deleted the content of the review.
When she picked up the cheque for the refund was asked again to see that my review was taken down.

What happened to proper customer service? A genuine apology and an immediate solution to issues to which they were alerted of and they admitted to have done wrong? To this date, her car hasn’t been fixed entirely. She paid and deserved to get a brand new car looking like new and certainly receive good customer service.

Ironically, the same manager that asked to see our reviews taken down posted one recently about a financial institution that did him wrong. I wonder if he was bribed to take down review in order to see his issues resolved….

Lazy mechanics! I had a problem with what I thought was my transmission(noises, jerky starts). The mechanic drove it around the parking lot once and said he figured it just needed a flash update to reset the transmission shift points, ect. They did it and I drove away still hearing noises. I drove less than 50Km and it broke down. Got it towed back through my warranty and told them it was now blowing blue smoke. They checked the dipstick and the oil fill cap and said I had let it run out of oil. Quoted me $13,200 for a new engine, turbo and catalytic converter. They told me because I let the oil level drop it is Not Covered Under Warranty. My Fault.
I had it towed to a different, trusted dealership where they found the turbo was faulty and starved the engine of oil. They found the problem within a half an hour and called to tell me it would be covered under warranty. Not My Fault.
If I hadn't been told to take it somewhere else, I would have paid for repairs that should have been covered. All because they didn't take the time to really look at the problem.

Beware! Do not take your car there!

Went in to have Air Conditioner recharged as it was blowing warm air. Quoted me $119.00 plus taxes. Final bill was $176.00. A little above quote. When i arrived estimate was already up to $149.00. Signed for that. Oh well they see you coming. After they recharged it they told me that it wasn’t working and to correct it the cost would be $1000.00. I would like to thank them for washing my car for me. This is the second new car that I have purchased from them. Every time I have gone there it’s always been a surprise unexpected repair required. Makes you wonder just how honest they really are. Have never been offered a view of an old part!!

Brought in 2017 Santa Fe XL with wheel shake at 44,000km. >$150 diagnostic fee. "Your tires are out of round -you need new tires." I understand if this is 100% the case but have never heard of tires "going out of round" with 4km commute and after being rotated at 17,000k. There was, however, 2 follow up calls to see how the experience was as well as this survey reminder....I wonder what they actually do with feedback. I am concerned that tires do not typically go out of round under normal conditions and I was hoping for a bit more assistance than: "Buy 4 new tires" even though my factory installed ones have greater than 75% tread remaining...

This past week has made me realize that quality products and excellent customer service are not a thing of the past.

For a few years now I have driven either a mini van or a SUV and I decided this time I wanted a new car that was good on gas but also really safe on the highway and many of the smaller cars that I had driven make you feel like you are driving in a tin can so we got the latest Consumer Report book and made a list of the features that were important to me and the cars that they recommended that had these features .

The highest on their list with these 'important to me features' was the Hyundai Elantra GT Tech so off we went to Langley Hyundai and this is were we met Mike Gallacher.

Now, Mike is 'old school' manners and customer service personified and in the past week has become a friend as well as the perfect salesman for us to work with to get the best deal and the car that I wanted.

He made himself available to fit in with our busy schedules and answered all our questions ...he even had dog cookies and a water dish that he brought out of his desk for my little Yorkie and she fell in love with him lol

Once we were thru the decision making process with Mike and the car was located it was impressive to see the way Langley Hyundai deal with the final sales process...good system, knowledgeable people to deal with and I drove home with my new car last night knowing that I may still find features that I need more instruction on but also knowing that Mike is just a phone call away....couldn't ask for more.
