Unfortunately, they overbooked customers so my truck didn’t get into the garage until 2:00 despite having a 9:00 appointment. Thankfully their location is convenient so it wasn’t a big deal.

First time bringing the vehicle back for service since purchase in March.
All new staff and the level of service showed.
I was promised the moon when I bought the Denali and was provided VIP service.
The new staff not so much.
I brought it in for a detailing, fix rock chip in windshield, put on front license plate( since I have moved out of province) and install tow package.
Went to pick it up after 2 days of them having it and no license plate, no fixed rock chip.
Left it again only to be informed they couldn't do the license plate install. Service manager Steve argued with me regarding rock chip repair.
The vehicle doors were still dirty, back seat floor mats and around chrome.
When I was sold the vehicle I was promised a heads up display and all I needed to do was give them notice of my return, also promised 2 free gas fill ups.
New staff refused both.
When I bought the vehicle I was made to feel like a valued customer. When I came back for my first service, I felt anything but a valued client. My vehicle's scope of work kept getting pushed back.
All the things that I was told I could have I could not. The things that they were supposed to fix we're done halfway or not at all. Whether there is a turnover and staff or not, the dealership should standby promises made. If I could go back and make the initial purchase elsewhere, knowing that the staff would all change and their promises would disappear, I would.

Fantastic service - I encountered an unforeseen issue with my truck that was discovered over a weekend, and needed the truck for an out of town trip Monday morning. I was able to get in touch with Sheri-Ann first thing Monday morning and the service team was able to get the truck in and sorted immediately. I am SO pleased with the service and communication from Sheri-Ann, and the technician who took the time to call and discuss things with me promptly after getting the truck in. Aaron Walker and my experience with him is THE ONLY REASON THIS has 2 stars! My experience with Aaron made me buy...and it also had me bringing my truck back for service. My last two experiences with anything more than a routine oil change/etc...has me now going elsewhere for my trucks needs.

I brought in my leaking roof on my 2016 3500 and was assured it was the high frequency antenna and I mean, I had not even handed over the keys yet and this was "more than likely" the issue..."They just leak".

So I hand over the truck...and it went off to have the antenna replaced...after all they called me and SAW THIS WAS THE CAUSE and noted it as such on my bill...bill write up: "R/R components and water tested, found signs of water intrusion into high frequency antenna".

I get the truck back and I pay for a non warranty high frequency antenna replacement. Two days later my truck is leaking and guess what...I bring it back in and this time they fix the..... CRACKED clearance light!!!...bill write up "inspected for leaks by antenna, OKAY". "Completed long water test and found center roof clearance light leaking". "Inspected and found lamp cracked" "new lamp installed. Reassembled and water tested, OKAY NOW."

What? How is that? I mean you even have on my bill that the antenna was seen to be the source of the leak...that doesn't work...so now it is a cracked cab light?

Why was the antenna the first guess then? Didn't see the cracked light? There really isn't much to inspect that could leak from my roof and in the manner it was leaking. Was a full and professional inspection of the possible causes performed the FIRST TIME? I THINK NOT...

Really? Did you not see this crack upon inspection the first time this leak was brought in.... what the real cause of the leak was? No, not until the second time it was brought in. This shop went with a best guess...as far as I am concerned....and it was a bad guess with the antenna...

Going with what is "90%" of the time the problem and not doing a proper inspection of an issue / using guess work to "hope that is the fix"....is not going to have me confidently returning to a service shop.

THE clearance light was cracked? In the first write up "found water leaking in from high frequency antenna"...NO YOU DIDN'T because the antenna never leaked. I mentioned when I pointed out how odd the path the water would take that it seemed unlikely it would be the antenna....and I was ignored...brushed off...I get it, I am no mechanic...but take the time to listen as you take my truck in for service? The effort to tell me it wasn't going to be covered by warranty was more forthcoming than simply listening to my issue...yuck!

The first time I had an issue with this service department was when I had a leaking tire "fixed" here....to wake up to a flat tire in the morning (it was now WORSE than prior to it being fixed). I took the tire to Fountain Tire in Beaumont and....the tire patch (a screw hole) had been fixed...but according to Fountain Tire...the tire was then left after the hole fix... "to dirty to seal" properly. Thanks to Fountain Tire...for doing the job correctly...though it cost me a second bill....I got back on the road.

The worst part of all of it...the bills and the notes on them show and support a poor process to find and fix an issue and there was zero accountability or apology...a refund of the difference in cost of repair of the antenna vice the clearance light...didn't make the guess work seem better in my eyes....

Let's see if service and further issues are dealt with in a more professional manner at another shop...

After reminding the advisor of the $634 price that I confirmed was a hard dollar quote and not an estimate, 15-20 minutes of whispering back and forth to with a colleague ensued and I was presented with an “offer”? That was $35 over the quote as if we were in a pawn shop or at a garage sale. If using their service department get everything in writing and have a way to record phone calls!

This is the best GMC dealership in the city! They are so very professional, always keep me informed on the status of my vehicle. They are great at sending notices about upcoming service requirements, but never push to get things done. Western GMC Buick were really helpful and I'd recommend them because I brought 2 Fobs in to be programmed. Unfortunately, one was damaged and could not be programmed. The service tech contacted me to let me know and arranged for a key to be brought in from the U.S. as keys for my Grand Prix are no longer readily available. They have advised that they will let me know when it is in so I can make arrangements to come in and have the new key cut. They were also kind enough to offer shuttle service to my work and back so that I did not have to take time off work. Great job!

Today I was treated with complete disrespect by a sales manager named Alan Walker.

Let me back track.
-July 4th I got in contact with the dealership to purchase a GMC Sierra off of their lot. In addition to purchasing this vehicle I also spent over $5000.00 in accessaries/extras from the dealership for my vehicle. Within that included tires and rims. I sent my dealer a picture to show what I wanted- a -24 offset on a deep dish rim. I was given three rims to choose from and I picked which one I liked.
-A couple of days later I was told what I wanted wouldn't fit on my truck without "at least" a four inch lift kit. Turned out they had ordered me the wrong tires. Got that sorted.
-July 11th I was shown a picture of my rims and they were not a -24 offset nor were they a deep dish rim. My fiancé spoke to them for me. Turns out they had ordered me the wrong rims and were going to order me the right ones.
-July 16th I was shown a picture of my rims on my tires.. and they still were not deep dish rims. Of course I am frustrated by this point. I had already paid for my vehicle and wanted what I had asked for. I was told black deep dish rims would take two weeks as they would have to be ordered in. That wait was not feasible as I had already sold my current vehicle. I had no choice but to get the rims/tires that were put on my truck even though they are not what I had asked for. I asked to be compensated for this ongoing screw up by putting a box cover on my truck, which they did.
-I paid for my truck to be hauled 12 hours to Hay River, Northwest Territories as that is as far as the dealership could arrange for it to be hauled. I then had to pay and arrange for someone to haul my vehicle another 3 hours to where I live in Fort Smith, Northwest Territories.
-My truck was scheduled to leave the dealership on Thursday, July 18th. I asked to be notified when it left the dealership so that the person waiting for it in Hay River would have an ETA. I was not notified. This person waited until 2:00am for the arrival and it was a no show.
-July 19th I called the dealership and asked to speak to the sales manager. I get Alan Walker on the phone. I politely stated who I was and that my vehicle was supposed to be delivered the day prior to Hay River. He cut me off mid sentence and said in a rude tone "Left an hour ago." I kindly asked how come it didn't leave when it was supposed to and he proceeded to talk rudely with me and blamed me for the delay because of MY problem with the tires. When I tried to explain that didn't make sense as I kept what was wrongly put on the truck he bluntly said "let me finish talking!" even though I had not cut him off. He was deliberately downright malicious to me on the phone. I was so caught off guard by his behaviour toward me that I told him he was being a d**k and hung up on him. He demonstrated such a poor level of professionalism and customer service.
I am a returning customer to this dealership. This is the second vehicle I have purchased from here and I spent a lot of money. I did not expect to be treated so horribly because I inquired about where my vehicle was. I was not treated as a valued customer, I was treated like s**t.
I will never purchase from this dealership again as a result, nor will I recommend it to anyone else.

I had called 2 other GMC dealerships before calling yours. The other two dealerships brushed me off and acted as if my warranty repair wasn't important. As a former service advisor myself, I'm aware that there isn't money to be made with recalls or warranty repairs but that doesn't mean that the work still doesn't need to be done. Big shoutout to Ashley in service who helped me out and looked into my warranty repair and treated me like a guest instead of kicking me to the curb as the other two dealerships had done. Nothing but positive things to say about Dave & Western GM. Met Dave over a year ago when I was in the dealership getting a service on my 2009 Sierra. He approached me in the showroom with a non-pressure attitude and showed a ton of passion about the GM products and his job. I kept his card on file and a year later got in touch with him.
