The deal I made included a set of new tires. And we accepted a set of take offs. Deal was made entirely on line.
Dealer price on line was one thing and when finished there was added Approximately 1700 in catelitic converter etching and some kind of tire and wheel replacement if tires were stolen. Ok go ahead with items listed. When truck was delivered there was no new tires installed. When Brian noticed this he immediately called me. Truck was delivered to Brian’s shop. I told Brian that no one from Don Wheaton contacted me regarding additional money for tires. Then salesman Lion contacted me and said that I told him not to proceed with tires as they were a add of 700.00. Nothing was ever discussed with me regarding a add price for a set of take off tires.
At this time I would not advise anyone purchasing a car or truck from Don Wheaton. Lion especially is not a trustworthy salesperson. Says one thing to get your money and then changes his mind and says something else. Also makes up stories and says he phoned when he did not. I do not advise anyone to purchase from Don Wheaton especially from a sales person named Lion.

Purchasing our used Tahoe was a great experience. Mitch was wonderful to deal with and we felt that he did a great job. He is personable, friendly, and was willing to work with us to get to where we needed to be for the purchase. The reason I'm giving 3 stars is the service we received after purchasing the vehicle. The first road trip we took our kids on, the DVD player (which was one of the things advertised) did not work. Mitch was out of the office, so my husband was transferred to two different people on two different days. He has left two voicemails and almost a week later still has not received a call back. We live 3 hours out of Edmonton so it is not as simple as just going to the dealership. Disappointed in that sense.

EDIT: Upgraded to 5 stars. When Mitch returned from holiday's he gave us a call right away and made sure we were contacted. They were more than helpful with the DVD situation and I didn't have to make the 3 hour drive into Edmonton. Have 100% rectified any ill feelings towards the dealership.

Went in yesterday to buy an SUV I’d done a ton of research on and was very interested in, it’s a sellers market so I offered them the full sticker price of $46,995 for the vehicle. Was told they wouldn’t sell it to me unless I agreed to pay $10,000 more for 3m protection and appearance protection packages. I guess that’s the Don Wheaton way of doing business. I’ll be spending my $50,000 elsewhere 🤷🏻‍♂️

We purchased a brand new Trail Boss from Corey there. We made arrangements to pick up the vehicle at a specific time as we are from out of town, when we arrived were told it would be another 5 hours. To make us happy they delivered the truck later that day. Our second key was lost before it was delivered and I am still waiting to here back about it 1 week later. When we were pretty much forced into buying the “Silver Package” we had the protective under coat done. When the truck was delivered we looked under and discovered the under coat was not done. I called Corey, paper work was filled out wrong and they did paint protection instead. Lastly after owning the truck 2 days the tire gets a hole and when we went to have it repaired there was no lock for our lug nut locks in the truck. I called Corey again and after getting laughed at I was told to call on star and my key will be in the mail. Corey told me multiple times to make sure to give them a 10 on the survey because that’s all that matters to them. Worst experience of my life. Drove the truck to Pike Wheaton in Red Deer and they were able to help me out

Corey , Right from the very first phone call,
was attentive, helpful, pleasant as could be, and his knowledge of the GM/Chev line up was out of this world.

On the Financing side, Dileep was incredible. The guy worked his a** off to make this deal happen for us. He answered or returned all our calls and texts right away, had incredible knowledge of the market and financial world and was just all around pleasant to deal with.

Last, but certainly not least. The sales manager Nick was second to none. Straight shooter all the way. Made us feel like long term clients right from the first hand shake. Do Not go to Don Wheaton without making sure you meet Nick.

This is my first New GM product. GM Canada, if you’re reading this, these Lads at Don Wheaton GM have made me a long time client. Corey will get all my business and I will be sure to tell everyone I know.

Excellent service. I had been looking all over Alberta and BC for a specific model of used truck and Don Wheaton had one that I was interested in. I had tested enough to know they don't all drive the same so I drove the 3 hours to Edmonton and booked the appointment with Robyn who had everything prepared in the event I would chose to purchase. Robyn has an exceptionally easy demeanor and experience with out of town buyers which enabled me to test drive, get approved for the loan, get insurance, register the vehicle and drive it home in just over an hour. I love how easy she made what had the potential to be successful, so seamless and easy. Robyn is the salesperson to see if you are not a fan of salespeople. My experience with the sales team was less than satisfactory. They asked the same questions over and over. And wouldn't listen to what I wanted. I wanted straight numbers. How much they were giving me for my trade and how much the new vehicle was. They refused to give me that information. Would only give me a b/w payment. But also couldn't tell me how long the term was. When I finally got the answers I wanted come to find out the used vehicle I wanted was higher than there advertised price as well as they offered me $8000.00 less for my trade than several other dealers and were just trying to hide it in a lower payment over a longer term. I would stay as far away from them as possible. I understand the market right now is crazy but shop around lots of dealers out there aren't trying to get rich by selling 1 vehicle.

I was in the market for a truck and saw what I thought was a great deal on a late model used Colorado.
Since it was a new listing I decided to make sure I had an opportunity to see it so I both called and emailed the dealership. This was on a Thursday at 1 and I had planned on going there on Saturday if it was as nice as it looked on the ads.
The receptionist advised me that the sales people were o a meeting and someone would get back to me shortly.
No response
I tried again on Saturday and after being on hold for quite a while I hung up.
I called on Monday and asked for the GM-Troy and he was appalled by the lack of service and promised my call would be returned.
Later that afternoon a salesperson (Cory) replied to my e-mail advising me the truck was sold. However the ad was still up! He said he would see if the deal was solid and get back to me.
In my conversation with Troy he also said they are a big dealership group and will be able to find me a suitable truck.
Here I am another week has passed and still no response from the dealer.
If a dealer won’t follow up on a sales lead, what sort of service might you expect to get if you have issues?
Oh yea the truck was advertised for an additional week after my inquiry which also felt the the old bait and switch sales tactic.
Needless to say- I would avoid this dealership at all costs as there are so many other dealers that return calls and emails and respect their customers.

Very disappointed and disheartening. My Son first buying experience was far from positive. He called an made an appointment. Vehicle was dirty and battery was dead so his test drive was off to a very bad start. Regardless he still attempts to talk price with sales woman. Gave her an offer she took it to her manager who ignored my sons offer and did not bother to counter with a price. Instead she returned empty handed and proceeded to attempt selling him on added items that were to justify the asking price. My son expressed he wasn’t interested in the add one was just interested in buying the car. Plain and simple you would think.
I get people are used to poor customer service this seems to be the norm. My hopes he would have experienced a positive customer experience. This dealership did the opposite. $35,000 is a lot of money and I’m disappointed my sons first buying experience was so brutal. No one should be subjected to such indifference.
Needless to say He left disappointed and frustrated. To the Manager who treated my Son so poorly Shame on you. Your lucky I’m not your boss.

Would not recommend this dealership. I purchased a Used 2019 Ram 3500 Truck from them in January 2022. I had been shopping for awhile, found a truck I really liked, Unfortunately at this dealership. Salesmen Melvin was friendly, however I had issues with the finance department. We agreed to a deal and I showed up on a Monday to pick up the truck as agreed. I had asked for them to find me the best interest rate they could, they came back with 5% interest. Not to bad for a used vehicle. However... this was only available if I bought the 3rd party extended warranty... An extra 4k dollars. I told them no to the extended warranty, to which I was told that if I didn't buy the extended warranty the interest rate would go up to 7%. We argued a bit however he told me that "With my credit, 7% is the best any bank could do..." I knew at this point that was a flat out lie. Since I had already taken time off work to pick up the truck. i agreed to it anyway with the plan on refinancing it with a different bank on my own time.

To add insult to injury, the truck already had a full Chrysler extended warranty from factory! Including oil changes! So, either they knew about this and decided to up sale me with their third party warranty. Or they were incompetent enough to not notice the warranty card in the glove box...

Also the trucks front facing camera was not working during the first test drive. We agreed for it to be fixed before pick up. Of course this was not fixed. But at that point I didn't want to deal with them anymore and got it fixed **under warranty** at a reputable Chrysler dealer

I was able to refinance the truck a week later at a interest rate of 5.2% with my own bank. So thankfully I never have to deal with them again.

Went in and test-drove a truck and really liked it, it was a fresh trade-in and needed work so I understood how they couldn't really budge on the price. However, I was assured that with the quality of vehicle I would be getting and with the repairs done to it, the price was justified. 4 days after I purchased the truck (after dealership fixes and inspection/assessment), I had no power-steering and it would blip on and off at times. I brought it in for a diagnostic and sure enough it threw a code saying that the power steering module needed replacing and they couldn't do it there so I had to go to Ford. Go to Ford and have them re-diagnose, and sure enough it's the module but they need to replace the whole rack which is about $2300. Paid for it because I need the power steering, but all in all just disappointed about after being assured the quality of this truck I had to shell out a couple grand literally days later.

I purchased a 70 000$ truck here so I take it in for service like oil change the other day.
Seems like every time I go there I m bothering soMeone or there too busy for my business.
Well for 120$ oil change that requires my truck for 10hrs they didn’t adjust my air pressure didn’t top up all my fluids they didn’t check my air filter or anything how about checking over my truck that’s the point.
they don’t even wash your vehicle that’s only for first time customers.
They did not fix any of my concerns with the truck
I’d suggest going to a lube shop half the cost much better service much better care for your vehicle routine maintenance.

I made an appointment and took my Volt in on Tuesday for minor maintenance. They apologized and said they may not be able to get to it until Wednesday. I'm dependent on my car to get to work in the mornings (I selected Don Wheaton because they have a shuttle service) so I rescheduled and dropped it off the next day. They didn't finish (or even start) the minor maintenance until Thursday! It cost me dearly. I had to get a family member to drive me home Wednesday and back to work Thursday. What incompetence! They are worse than Caribbean governments (if you ever had to deal with one you would know what I mean. Never again.

Picked up the Truck on a sunny day. Most of the truck had been detailed. Had to stop and clean the front windshield in order to see driving into the sun. Turns out the window was heavily calcified likely from sitting outside for 2 months. Sunroof was bad as well. Vinegar and water eventually did the job. Disappointing after spending over 100k. Today I discovered the $1800.00 protective film on the front end is pealing. Obviously a rush job to get this truck delivered. Tough to find good help these days.

We have purchased 4 trucks through Don Wheaton in the past 6 years, and possibly will be putting that number up to 6 this month ( Just drove a 2015 Chev Silverado 3500 HD Ltz Diesel off the lot yesterday) Even though we don't live in Edmonton, we are more than happy to make the trip there to deal with Troy.
Troy Sorge is our "go to guy" there, and we deal directly with him. He never let's us down!
Troy goes above and beyond to make the process smooth. His customer service skills are excellent, and he feels more like a friend. He goes out of his way, and puts a lot of time in to make sure we are happy and get the vehicle we want with the options we want at a fair price.
All we have to do is give him a call or send him an email and he's right on it. He also keeps us informed through the whole process.
To sum it up - We won't deal anywhere else, no matter how far we have to travel. We are Troy Sorge/Don Wheaton lifetime customers!
