Respray that is just peeling off! It was supposed to be done right as part of the deal at Southgate collision center, but they farmed it out to CarStars

Just an update, Southgate Audi has seen my posts and at first reached out to settle. They said I had to remove my posts, I said they were the truth so they didn’t have to be removed. They offered to settle, Oh my Godbut wanted me to remove my posts. I reluctantly agreed, but said I would do so only when satisfied with the repair. They withdrew the offer and won’t repair. Meanwhile, they told Audi Canada they were resolving the matter with me as I complained to the parent company. Word to the wise to any one dealing with them: South Gate Audi collision is a first rate repair place. But be careful, as the dealership will tell you that’s where they are sending the vehicle, and then send it to carstars or equivalent for a cheap “paint over.” I made the mistake of not getting their offer of South Gate Audi collision in writing. Always get their “0ff contract” promises in writing as they will deny them later. That is my experience anyways.

I am Brian I bought a used s4, they promised repairs but did nothing after taking my money. It’s been about three months. I have asked for resolution but they demand I come in, yet they know I work out of town. I would suggest that you take any promises from southgate Audi and Danny Kwok in particular with a grain of salt. He will promise his body shop will do the repairs and then send your vehicle to carstar. Zero customer service.

My experience with Audi Southgate has had to be the worst experience I have had with any corporation. I have had multiple issues with this dealership and have only had my vehicle for about one month! The sales associate who sold me my vehicle, Aleah Abram, was deceivingly pleasant until the sale was processed and then turned a blind eye when I noticed a defect in my car upon pick up– she did not assist with the issue at all and refused to offer any help – to the point where her whole mannerism turned into a blaming game and she lost her cool. The manager at the time, Danny Kwok, was the only positive part of my experience – he went out of his way to help me with the issue – which was nothing small, they had to EXCHANGE my brand new vehicle because the mechanical issue was too complicated to resolve in a timely fashion. Furthermore, just recently, I realized that I was being charged by Southgate Audi for BOTH vehicles – the original and the replacement I was given. The finance manager at Southgate Audi, Kathy Lam, has been so difficult to get a hold of that this issue has not been resolved yet! I would not recommend this dealership to ANYONE. It has been such a hassle and to be frank, they’ve committed a fraud and taken money from my account that is not theirs! Being unable to contact me and discuss the issue, just further goes to show you that they really do not care!

Within 24 hours of me leaving this review, the business manager Sunny called me and asked me if we could have a conversation. He let me explain my side of the story, apologized multiple times, and not once tried to make excuses or blame me. He went out of his way to rectify the situation and deal with the finance question I came in with. I will leave my original review content just so others can see how much of a difference a great manager who truly cares about customer experience can make, and how a simple 15 minute phone call, an apology and offer to rectify the situation can change a 1 star review into a 5 star review.

After calling the dealership for days with no answer, I finally get an answer from a receptionist today around 5:50pm. I asked if anyone from finance would be in after 6, and the receptionist tells me that the business manager Kathy will be in until 8 pm, so I told her I would come to the dealership within 15 minutes. After I arrived, the receptionist told me that she has no idea how long it would take for me to see Kathy as she was with clients. After a 20 minute wait, I asked if I could leave my phone number and wait in the car until Kathy is ready for me so I’m not in the way, so the receptionist took my phone number and told me she’d give me a call when Kathy was ready to see me. After anther hour of waiting in the car, I call the dealership again to ask if I should just come by another day. The receptionist told me that Kathy ‘’looked for me’’ earlier, even though I was parked right in front of the dealership and left my phone number with the receptionist who told me she’d give me a call when Kathy was ready to see me. When I was finally called back inside, the receptionist told me that Kathy is on the phone again, and asked me to wait. A couple of minutes go by and the receptionist then informs me that Kathy will only have 5 minutes for me, as she was supposed to leave an hour ago. Kathy was polite in explaining that she did not have the time to sanitize her office yet, and that she needs to leave asap despite my 1+ hour wait by that point. So, with a total lack of privacy, we just stood there in front of reception where I was asked to quickly explain what I needed, like we were at a flea market and I bought a sack of potatoes from you guys, and not a Mercedes. Overall, very unprofessional, frustrating experience which definitely made me regret that I purchased my car at this dealership.

Wanted to express my gratitude for Ryan Eagle in parts and Southgate Audi for the service I received over the past couple months. I originally wanted to book my car in for a service and ended up having my S3 get a recall taken care of and an oil change completed under Audi Care (which I was not aware of and considerately brought to my attention by Ryan) all for free, with a nice A4 courtesy vehicle to boot. Ryan was also able to source the exact summer mats I was looking at, roof rack system, and bike carriers as a last minute request for a bike trip. These items arrived within a couple business days and were well below the MSRP. Overall, I couldn't be happier and I saved hundreds opposed to getting an equivalent Thule or Yakima system. Being a BMW owner for 20+ years, reluctantly went to peruse the Audi models, upon the insistence of “The Boss” (Wife). The great welcome by Aleah Abram and Rob Dawes got me interested in at least being a bit more serious. Started off with the Q5 and by the end of the evening signed on a Q8 !! Aleah’s patience and honest answers to questions put to her, clenched the deal. This is something BMW is lacking at many levels. Furthermore, after signing the papers and having slept on the colour we chose (Grey) we decided we want to change it to black. We were not met with any excuses, rather, Rob and Aleah pointed out the only black Q8 Technik they had and reworked a new deal to a mutually agreed sum, once again accommodating our needs over their sale. I have been in touch with Aleah since the purchase as the MMI keeps logging out and Aleah responds straight away, despite this being a service query now and not sales. That shows the dedication to their customers. I am hoping that they have converted me to be an Audi loyal owner as of now. Thank Aleah and Rob and keep up the good work.

We had called in looking for a price on a part a few days ago, we were placed on hold and then a gentleman named Levi picked up. As he was telling us the price he said “you may want to brace yourself and take a seat on the toilet...” he continued on but I don’t feel it is appropriate to post on a public site. Not only can you buy a vehicle with extended warranty but it also gives you financing at 0.9 to 1.9% instead of 5.99 to 6.99% which you should know is amazing for a used vehicle. Having free car washes as well on exterior is a great perk as well!

I rarely post reviews and have never posted a negative review but thought you might like to know that you will be much better served by going to Audi North. I've had numerous challenges with Southgate but the most latest example is when I called today and was quoted $50 more for my car battery compared to Audi North. When I mentioned the massive difference in price, the parts guy gave zero f$%&s. Way to gouge people when Edmonton is the coldest it has ever been Southgate Audi!. I used to service and buy parts for my Audi here but after Audi North opened, I started calling them for prices and eventually took all my business there; despite it not being convenient for me. I am so sick and tired of feeling like I was unnecessarily being gouged by Southgate Audi's prices. How this place stays in business after Audi North opened is beyond my comprehension. Why does anybody still do business with this place when they are so obviously over priced?

Update: Jamie reached out to me and made things right. I am going to leave this review as written but I have revised the star rating to reflect that a solution was reached that was satisfactory to all parties.

I bought my vehicle used from Audi Southgate last October. My overall experience with the sales staff was very positive. I found my sales rep Courtney to be both personable and enjoyable to deal with. He followed up with me a couple days after test driving the car, answered all of my questions promptly, and was very considerate every step of the way. I'd like to stress that I do not hold him accountable for the issues I've had with the vehicle.

After only putting 3000 km of daily driving on the car it started to experience engine problems. At first I thought I must have done something wrong, but after taking it to my mechanic, they found that all eight spark plugs were completely fouled—to the point that there was no way I could have done it in the short time I had the car. In addition to this, there were several aftermarket parts malfunctioning, as well as some potentially dangerous modifications that I had not been made aware of.

This is my first car, so unfortunately I didn't have enough knowledge going in to be able to identify the possible red flags. I do believe that it was my responsibility to know what I was getting into, but I also think that first time buyer's like myself should be able to trust that the dealership did their due diligence when inspecting trade-ins. Even now, I wouldn't expect the dealership to be able to identify all of the random modifications done to a trade-in, but I would hope that they at least could have identified the more obvious surface problems during their inspections.

As an out of town client, it is a royal pain to take time off work to fix my car. So far I have found my Audis to be quite reliable so it's a hassle that I'm willing to deal with. However, recently the car was malfunctioning and this dealer replaced the thermostat. The appointment went fine, but a short time later the car started to have other problems = another trip to the dealer, this time to the dealer from where I bought the car. The second dealer called me to ask if I've ever had the bumper removed on this brand new car to which I replied with a no. It turns out that not only was the bumper installed without several of the clips, the sensors that control many features had not been calibrated. No parts were broken, the car was just not reassembled or calibrated properly. This is very disappointing to me, and caused a day away from work to deal with a repair job that was apparently not completely finished. I've had no problems with Southgate in the past which would give it 4 stars. This service blip drops it to 3 stars, and not getting a call back from the Service Manager suggests to me that there is no interest in improvement...which drops to 1 lonely star.

UPDATE: Despite the troubles above, this dealer eventually followed up with me, AND with the other dealer, and took responsibility for the miss. In this day and age, I find that taking responsibility is becoming rare...it makes a difference how this issue was handled. Perhaps a bit late, but the follow up was very professional. Moving back up to 3 stars.

I called ahead of time and we agreed a price on a Volvo XC90 2012. This was on Monday. I live in Calgary, so I informed them that I will be coming there on Thursday. The sales rep confirmed that this would work and took my credit card and my drivers license. I thought I should double confirm 1 day prior that we are still good to meet, they sold the car and no one informed me ahead of time. If I didn't double confirm with them, I would of drove from Calgary to Edmonton for no reason and back in one day. I would not recommend this place.

Bought a brand new 2009 4.2L V8 Q7 from this dealership and had nothing but mechanical issues with it for several years. The final service costed $5000 before we had had enough and went to Porsche. Decided to give the brand and dealership another chance again recently. We were looking for a used A4 and went online to look at some options. Found a vehicle we liked and talked to a salesmen about it over the phone. Explicitly asked whether warranty was included in the listed price and the salesmen confirmed it was. Went to the dealership the next day, test drove the car and liked it. Sit down at the desk with the salesmen to discuss price and he finally informs us about $5000 dollars worth of hidden costs on a $21,000 vehicle. The gentlemen was smug and acted as if we should have already known this. This false advertising really put us off and lost trust in the dealership and the salesmen, even though we would have been willing to pay the extra money if the hidden costs were disclosed professionally and in advance. This is highly unethical practice of bait and switch and is not expected from a reputable luxury brand like Audi. Please beware of the listed prices of used cars on their website...it is all just a tactic to get you in the door and up-sell you. Will never be returning to Southgate Audi again.

I was in to see him four times in five days. Between him and Rob in the finance department they spent hours walking me through every possible option and showed me what each would cost me and what I could/couldn't afford. I walked out of there with a Q5 and it is the most beautiful thing I have ever owned. Couldn't be happier with these guys, my new vehicle and I will definitely be back.

This is an edit to my initial review of another vehicle purchase through Brad in July 2018 to highlight our most recent purchase on May 18, 2019.

We just picked up our new vehicle and have nothing but positive things to say about our experience at Southgate Audi. We were very pleased with the service, patience and professionalism of Brad with our first vehicle that we wanted to go with him again for this one. Brad took the time to go through every detail patiently with us even though we were quite indecisive at the beginning. He carefully explained and showed us every detail and feature as well as taking the time to run through each spreadsheet and option we had available to us so we could make an informed decision. Brad always made sure we were going at a pace we were comfortable with, letting us lead the process without any feelings of pressure. Even when Brad is busy himself or having a lot of things piling on, he never made it seem we needed to hurry - the time he spends with his clients is always his priority and this is what makes Brad stand out.

Car sales can be a tricky, unpleasant experience but Brad should be an example for others to follow. We never felt pressured or rushed at any point during our interactions. For example, when showing us the style of the rims of a vehicle, rather than googling an image or trying to explain it, Brad took us out into the lot to find a vehicle with the exact type so we could see in person how it looks for a more accurate detail. Even when we initially came to test drive an A5, by the time we returned to the lot from our test drive, he had an S5 ready for us to test drive as well. Which is very nice given we were just thinking of asking to test drive that when we returned with the A5. Brad knows his clients and customizes his service entirely to fit their specific interests and needs.

The amount of work Brad put into the deal we completed was above expectations and exceeded anything we could have asked for initially. Each time we interacted with Brad, he went above and beyond with new things for us to ensure we were always satisfied and happy with the process. He took the time to always update us when needed and was always available when we needed him as well.
In the end, we couldn't have asked for any more and will definitely return to Brad and Southgate Audi for future purchases and share this with our friends and family.

Had a great experience purchasing my CPO Audi Q3. I love Audi and when I found the perfect vehicle, in a color I wanted, with all the extras I wanted, I had to go take a look. I dealt with the Chris Phan in sales, and he was awesome! He wasn’t pushy and he let me take my time and answered all my questions. He worked together with the sales manager Rob Dawes to come up with a fair deal for me. I was able to get the vehicle for a great price and Rob even gave me a decent amount for my trade in vehicle, which I was very pleased with. After I was ready to purchase the vehicle, I headed off to finance. I saw Kathy Lam in finance, and she was AMAZING! She worked hard with the bank to negotiate a loan and interest rate that worked for me. She definitely went above and beyond to help me out and make sure everything was taken care of. Had a very positive experience in our recent purchase of a sedan from this dealership. The sales team was fair and easy to work with. Thought the price negotiation went smoothly and at the end of the day, was not getting the run-around and being treated fairly. Found the parts crew to be friendly and helpful when purchasing accessories and winter wheels. The service team is also very good and unlike say, Edmonton BMW, it is not an issue to get a courtesy vehicle whatsoever here. The lifetime car washes are a nice perk.

My husband and I have been in the market for an Audi S4 for a while. (Hubby's dream car). We came by a couple years ago, went for a test drive, but the timing was all wrong in our lives.
Just recently, we went back. We had such great customer service, and we found what we wanted online so why not another visit?
On a sunny Saturday, we decided to zip on over to Southgate Audi. We were greeted promptly by salesman Ahmed. My husband told Ahmed what we were looking for, and after a few minutes, we were behind the wheel going for a test drive. In the meantime, I got my own vehicle appraised, as we were looking to make a deal. Stacy in Finance sent out my application and the ball was rolling. I made an appointment to pick up the car on Tuesday, assuming everything went through.
Long story short, I got the most energetic email bright and early on Monday morning saying that I had got my car!
Here comes Tuesday, and what a day! Inspection, done. Paperwork, done. Quick, easy, and off we went.
Super huge shout outs to Stacy and Tracy (the Finance team) and our "car guy" Ahmed. This experience was zero pressure, super positive, and fun! Everyone is just super nice, caters to what we want, and made things happen within our boundaries. Never did I feel pressured or pushed for anything. I will be back time and time again, and have been recommending Southgate Audi to everyone!

Sales Manager Danny is great to deal with, professional and very friendly. He will do what it takes to earn your business. When i purchased my 2014 RS7 from him it was a flawless transaction. Would i purchase another car from him? yes and i have moving into an 2011 R8. Service department as been great also, always having a loaner vehicle on hand never leaving me out to dry.
