The 2013 Nissan Altima - Power, Safety, and Affordability

The 2013 Nissan Altima has been redesigned and now sports a premium feel. There have been many changes, with a complete overhaul for this model year. This model is lighter which helps it to produce better fuel economy. Its fuel consumption is 7.4 L/100km in the city and 5.0 l/100km on the highway. The 2013 Altima starts at $23,698 which is less expensive than the Camry and Accord.

There are two different engine packages available for the Nissan Altima. One is the 2.5 liter 4 cylinder and the other is the 3.5 liter V6 engine. With the 4 cylinder engine you get 182 horsepower and 180 pounds-feet of torque. The V6 produces 270 horsepower and 258 pounds-feet of torque.

The new design has chrome across the top strip which makes it appear as a premium model. The car runs more smoothly and with less road noise. It offers class leading fuel economy of 5.0L/100 km which makes it Nissan’s most fuel efficient automobile, which is another reason to buy it. You will be pleased with what you find inside the Altima. Its controls are not the fanciest around, but are easy to use. The front seats are extremely comfortable thanks to newly designed buckets. Your body will be delighted, when sitting in the soft and supportive front seats. The seats have been redesigned to reduce fatigue by 30 percent. On the inside there is also new trim that improves the overall appearance of the interior.

Other features on the inside include texting, hands free texting, and XM radio. There is a driver information center that provides you will all the information you need. Climate control is straightforward and will keep the car at just the right temperature. The Nissan Altima comes with a backup camera that carries out many functions. There is even a washer and dryer on the camera to keep it clean. The camera has a moving object detector and a blind spot warning.

With the 2013 Nissan Altima, the driving experience has been greatly improved. One safety feature is active understeer control. The Altima will adjust itself for safety when you understeer. It comes with a CTV transmission. Over 70 percent of its parts have been upgraded which will result in better performance on the road. There are many competitors in the market. However the 2013 Nissan Altima is probably the best of its class.

Safety is never an issue with Nissan. There are over 50 safety features designed to help take care of you. It features six airbags that will soften the blow during impact.
A bare-bones Altima starts at $23,698, but most people prefer the 2.5 SV model. The more expensive model features cruise control, a six-way power driver’s seat, 17-inch aluminum wheels, dual-zone climate control, and remote start. The 2.5 SL trim is the top model in its range. A loaded SV comes with a heated steering wheel, heated seats, and a nine-speaker Bose stereo.
