Quick Look

The new 2016 Toyota Prius is back and more fuel efficient than ever. Toyota has also decided to make this model a lot sportier than they have in the past.

Full Review

The new 2016 Toyota Prius is back with a lot of improvements done to it. With these changes, the Prius is looking like it is gaining a lot of attention from people, which is what the Prius really needs. These changes mostly consist of improvements done to the fuel efficiency and the look. Toyota will be pushing for the new 2016 Prius to look sportier than it has in the past.

The exterior of the Prius looks a lot different from the previous model but the structure of it still resembles what it originally looked like. Starting off with the grille, the front of the hood has taken over most of it. With the hood dropping down and covering most of the grille, it is a lot harder to visually see. However, they have still done a great job of blending the small visible grille into the headlights beside it.The headlights will look a bit more modernized with it being powered by LED lighting. Under the headlights, there are the tail lights which will be pretty standard at a circular shape. The rear view also looks very different but in a way resembles the Nissan Leaf. The tail lights are nice and long with a rectangular shaped rear window beside it.

Taking a look at the interior of the new Prius, it looks very futuristic, which it should since it is the next generation of driving. The interior perfectly complements the exterior look of the car. Starting off with the centre console, it seems very user-friendly as there are no buttons to operate it. It is all touch screen on the screen placed in the centre. The steering wheel will be very comfortable for drivers with a lot of grip as the curves on it will allow drivers to be able to comfortably hold on and not be worried about it slipping away. In terms of space, the new 2016 Toyota Prius is very spacious and will allow drivers and passengers to be able to freely move their legs. Also with a very large windshield, drivers will be able to have a lot better of a view of the road.

Under the hood we can see Toyota uses a 1.8-litre four-cylinder engine in combination with new electric motor. New electric motor will be smaller and lighter than last year’s model. This powertrain will allow the vehicle to push 140 horsepower. In terms of fuel efficiency, the Prius will have a lithium ion battery which will be very fuel efficient. To be exact, it will assist the car in require only about 4.3 litres for every 100 kilometres driven.

The 2016 Toyota Prius is obviously a great choice if you are going for a car that will save you a load of money on gas. It is also a great choice for those who really care about how bad pollution in getting since this will create barely any compared to come vehicles out there. The Prius is made for only a select amount of drivers out there.

Interiors and Special Features:

Photos of the interior show a new direction for the dash and instrument panel. The prototype dash looks more conventional, with analog gauges behind a new three-spoke steering wheel, marking a departure from the current information display perched far away in the center of the dash. Photos show a center stack engulfed in a mess of tape and slapped-together elements, making it hard to visualize where a navigation display might go. A top Toyota executive promises a roomier interior, notable design and layout refinements, and greater ease of use.
