Full Review

The 2016 Kia K900 is incredibly attractive and spaciously comfortable, thanks to a total redesign this year that brings some much-needed modifications. The vehicle’s exterior is aesthetically refined with some heavy changes to the front end, while the interior is covered in premium materials that make the vehicle’s core exceptionally comfortable to drive in. Though the engine lineup could be more fuel-efficient, they are certainly powerful and provide an energetic drivetrain for this large cabin. The new K900 is definitely a competitor within the luxury sedan range.

This years upgrade for the Kia K900 welcomes a complete redesign to the vehicle’s exterior, while still managing to retain some of its primary design and features that proved so appealing. The outer body features more rounded headlights that dip into the grille space, which has been redesigned with less abrasive angles. Likewise, new trapezoidal fog lights evoke a more mature look and LED lighting surround the vehicle, with strips that run across the entire rear. Rear overhang is built larger, resulting in more cargo space, and the windshield and windows are both laminated for dimming purposes. As a whole, the new K900 is improved aerodynamically for better speed and handling, realized in the driving experience of this truly exceptional luxury sedan.

A variety of high-end materials are used throughout the vehicle’s incredibly large cabin to ensure an upscale, comfortable feel for the affluent driver. Materials like wood, matte, silver and premium leather upholstery can be found throughout the K900’s interior and are matched with leather wrapped steering wheel and gear-shifter. Likewise, the dashboard receives aluminum trim and also features a 9.2-inch display that hosts Kia’s UVO infotainment and navigation system with WiFi connectivity. This spacious cabin can also feature the available sunroof, as well as dual-zone climate control and heated/ventilated rear seats. Both driver and passengers will definitely be satisfied with this amazingly comfortable interior cabin that hold a variety of available technical features.

Under the hood, the new Kia sedan feels responsive and energetic with an engine lineup that is powerful but not very fuel-efficient. The standard engine is a 3.8-litre direct-injection V6 producing 311 horsepower and 280 pound-feet of torque. This unit runs fairly smoothly and provides a quiet cruising experience for drivers. However, the 5.0-litre direct injection V8 is more powerful, producing a mighty 420 horsepower and 395 pound-feet of torque and offering a fuel economy of 18.8 litres per 100 kilometres city and 12.3 litres per 100 kilometres highway. Both engines come with standard rear-wheel drive and eight-speed automatic transmission. Standard safety features likewise include electronic stability control, anti-lock brakes and tire-pressure warning, as well as adaptive cruise control, advanced collision warning and a 360-degree camera with parking guidance.

As it stands, the 2016 Kia K900 is stunning on the outside and features an incredibly comfortable interior cabin. Luxury vehicle drivers will definitely be pleased with this years upgrade.
