Quick Look

The 2016 Honda Accord Coupe sports an intimidating presence on the road with significant improvements to the outer body in this years upgrade. The front-fascia is effectively built to look meaner, while the back-end comes with dual-exhausts to mirror this aggressive feel. Likewise, high-quality materials line the front cabin while an updated, but albeit limited technology suite provide a comfortable driving experience for both driver and passenger. Honda also boasts an extensive list of advanced safety features for your protection. The biggest highlight, however, can be found in the 3.5-litre V6 engine, which is exclusively designed with Honda’s new Earth Dreams powertrain technology for a smooth, responsive and fuel-efficient driving experience.

Full Review

The 2016 Honda Accord coupe provides an edgy, aggressive style and comfortable interior cabin for an overall upscale driving experience. This two-door is built with premium materials on the inside and includes a host of technical features designed to make your driving experience as easy and enjoyable as possible. As such, its outer body is impeccably built with more of an aggressive demeanour than its sedan counterpart. Competing against other serious heavyweights like the Audi A5 and Infiniti G60, the new Accord coupe is a definite contender with outward style and power as its biggest assets.

The new Accord coupe receives a slightly revamped exterior profile to overall evoke a meaner, more intimidating façade than its predecessors. The front end is redesigned with new headlights, a bigger grille and a reshaped front bumper, and overall gets a lot more chrome work than its sedan counterpart. A slimmer chrome piece and bigger air intake likewise contribute to a sleek profile and better fuel economy while demonstrating more of an aggressive persona. There are also dual exhausts at the back-end to complete a modern outer profile that definitely looks and feels edgier than the sedan.

Throughout the vehicle’s interior is a clear appreciation for luxury and modern furnishings, including a host of comfortable features that are sure to improve your driving experience. The Accord coupe exclusively comes with a dark blue dashboard and high-powered audio system to differentiate from the sedan. However most of the cabins detailing is identical, such as the cloth or leather upholstery and premium trimming. Likewise, the instrument panel is lowered and pushed out at the corners to maximize space and center stack controls are easy to reach and organized. This quiet cabin features Active Noise Cancellation and further boasts an abundance of space in the front cabin for a comfortable ride. However, there is expectedly a shortage of legroom in the back seats for a two-door coupe.

The new Honda Accord coupe likewise features an array of technical components designed to improve and engage your driving experience. Outfitted with an eight-inch colour touchscreen on the center stack, the coupe receives Honda’s standard Multi-Information Display which collectively manages phone calls, text messages and emails on an interactive and customizable display. It also features Bluetooth connectivity and displays important driver information such as fuel-efficiency, trip range and audio/phone information. A rear view camera is also standard on the coupe, while navigation capability remains optional. Apple CarPlay and AndroidAuto capability are also introduced in this years upgrade for advanced smartphone integration.

Under the hood, the coupe carries over the more forceful of two engines from the outgoing model, boosting power and manoeuvrability for this stylish two-door. The 3.5-litre V6 engine produces 278 horsepower and 252 pound-feet of torque on a standard six-speed automatic transmission for those looking for an athletic vehicle. This engine is also equipped with Honda’s exclusive Earth Dreams powertrain technology which works to improve fuel-efficiency, acceleration and responsiveness for an overall smooth and enjoyable driving experience. New models are also outfitted with Honda Sensing – a comprehensive suite of electronic safety features and driving aids. The system effectively bundles a ton of safety provisions for enhanced protection throughout your vehicle. Features include a collision mitigation system, forward collision warning, lane-keeping assist, road departure warning and adaptive cruise control.

As it stands, the 2016 Honda Accord Coupe is exceptionally stylish and features an upscale interior and athletic engine to match its aggressive persona. If you’re looking for a vehicle that conveys sport and speed, this vehicle is one of the best.
