With a choice between two V6 and two V8 engines, different cab and bed sizes plus 11 trim level options, the 2014 Ford F-150 is a highly customizable to fit your lifestyle. It continues to be the leader in the full-sized pick-up category.

There are three T’s that make the 2014 Ford F-150 the leader in its class: Toughness, Towing and Technology. This workhorse of a truck has been dominating full-sized pick-up truck category for decades. It has been around for 60 years and while it was first introduced as a no-frills machine able to withstand a tough beating, the recent versions have evolved into a well-appointed, versatile pick-up. The 2014 Ford F-150 is truly the truck for every man. Whether you’re buying it as a rancher who needs maximum towing capacity or as a daily hauler of your recreational sports equipment, there is a powertrain and trim level just right for you. For this year, there are 11 trim levels available: the base XL, STX, XLT, FX2, FX4, Lariat, Harley-Davidson, King Ranch, Raptor, Platinum, Limited and the newly released Tremor. There are also variations in cab size and bed lengths, as well as a choice between 2-wheel drive or 4-wheel drive. For the engine , one can choose between a 3.7-liter V6 a 5.0-liter V8, a twin-turbo (EcoBoost) v6 and a 6.2-liter V8. All of these are paired with a six-speed automatic transmission.

The easiest way to describe the profile of an F-150 is masculine. But the personality of an F-150 is also related to the trim level. For instance, the STX exudes a sporty feel while the FX2 and FX4 models are more rugged. If you want luxury, the Lariat and the Platinum variants are a good pick. King Ranch draws from a western inspiration while Raptor is the off-road version. The 2014 Ford F-150 carries over much of the Tonka truck look that it has had for the past few years with its massive grille, slab sides and tall fenders. There are a few new additions such as trailer-tow mirrors, a new FX grille and HID headlamps for some trim levels. Bed lengths also vary depending on how you configure it. It can have a 6.5-foot bed or an 8-foot bed. All versions have a tailgate ladder and a side box step.
