The Acura RDX was originally developed for young couples looking for a good looking cross-over. 2013 Acura RDX has been redesigned to offer all weather security and much more. Another advantage of the RDX is that it has outstanding safety features that will help to ensure that you get to work and back home safely.

The 2013 version is the most powerful and most fuel-efficient RDX ever. The redesigned 2013 RDX blends performance and luxury. Top features include the 273 horsepower V6 controlled by a 6-speed automatic transmission to the lushly appointed interior. The 2013 Acura RDX also comes with Intelligent Control System which makes accessing its features easier than ever before.

The Acura RDX has a 3.5 liter 24 Valve V6 in it which produces 273 horsepower and 251 LB-FT of torque. Fuel economy is 10.7 liters/100km in the city and 7.3 liters/100km on the highway. This is an improvement over the previous generation.

The all-wheel drive system isn’t very refined. The new RDX uses the Honda CRVs. You won’t get much help with switch backs, but half of its power can find its way to the back.

This model offers sophisticated communications equipment. One of my favorite technologies is its voice activated technology that recognizes up to 800 verbal commands in English or French. Climate controls as well as its audio system are voice activated. All in all, there’s not much inside the RDX that isn’t awaiting instructions.

In the Acura RDX, you get hands-free communication to your mobile phone. This model allows you to link your Bluetooth enabled mobile phone to the HandsFreeLink interface to receive calls over the vehicle’s audio system. This means that you can do business while you are driving or talk to loved ones.

The satellite navigational system works well and can pinpoint your location almost anywhere in North America or access its onboard search directory. The system features bilingual voice recognition and offers directions by either voice or moving-map display.

Acura offers outstanding safety features. The goal of every Acura is to protect you the driver as well as the machine. This goal is reinforced through the extensive number of standard safety features and use of innovative technologies you’ll find in all Acura vehicles.

The Acura RDX comes with six airbags which are designed to protect all occupants inside the cabin. The RDX will deploy dual-stage, multiple-threshold front airbags (SRS) that activate at one of two rates depending on the severity of the impact.

While driving you can see better with high-powered High-Intensity Discharge (HID) headlights. This improves you ability to see the road and identify what’s ahead as well as what you see in the rearview mirror.

There isn’t much not to like about the 2013 Acura RDX. Yes, it could drive better. However it has the latest technology and offers a safe ride. Considering the retail price, you are getting a lot for your money when you purchase this vehicle.
